Busch Gardens Williamsburg: General Discussion

I'll never forget Astro's reaction to that news. And I wasn't even there in person! :D
To this day it's the best reveal I can remember. They downplayed it so well. Gave us just enough of the picture to piece together the words. We thought we'd already worked out the reveal, only to see we'd been looking at a tiny piece of the picture. Textbook!
I also remember Astro's reaction because it matched my own!

Earlier last month, BGW revealed this awesome new concept image for Pantheon:

Meanwhile, construction is progressing and track is now on site:

Pantheon is vertical!

First inversion is now up, and damn it looks gooooood:

Excellent progess. Hoping to be there early June next year so figures crossed this is wrapped up and operating by then! This and Jersey Devil are my most anticipated 2020 rides

An awesome photo of the Pantheon constructiob site from Apollo Charriot's lift hill:

Pantheon's top hat structure is flying up:

Meanwhile, BGWFans have seen more plans linked to the supposed 2021 coaster/expansion of Germany. These new site plans do not show ride footers but do show pathways, queue lines, terraforming etc. which can help to give an indication of what the coaster may do.

I recommend reading the full BGWFans article to get an understanding of what might be coming, but they are speculating on the below being a possible layout:

The solid lines are where there is a higher degree of confidence of where track will be. The dotted lines are estimates as to how it all connects up, using the simpliest possible layout. The red star is the location of the coaster's highest point.

So BGWFans are currently predicting a launched shuttle coaster with the high point being a spike, as it is on Pantheon. Remember though, it is just a best guess based on limited plans. With any luck we might get some more foundation plans in the near future which will give a much better idea as to a full layout.

I will continue to update this thread, whether other7s like it or not! :p

Firstly, Pantheon's top hat was completed last week, along with the drop down from it towards the Rhine:

And secondly, Busch Gardens Williamsburg have announced that the top speed on Pantheon has been increased by 0.5mph to 73mph, which according to the park makes it the fastest multi-launch coaster in the world (beating Taron).

Soaring with Dragon however has a top speed of 77.7mph but Intamin apparently do not class it as a multi-launch coaster, hence Pantheon takes the record. So it all depends on your definition of multi-launch.

If both parks keep fighting back at each other, we really could have two mind blowing coasters!
Looking forward to pantheon and riding it next year, got a lot of hype for this hoping for a mix of Tarron and Maverick and figures crossed for the best Intamin Blitz coaster.

That banking is disgusting! Can't wait to get a ride on it. Thanks Alan Schilke and RMC for bringing these twisted airtime moments into the mainstream

Me thinking: "Nice overbank for an invert....oh wait, what´s happening there at the bottom of the hill....damn, that`s NOT an invert" :D

Looks fun, but I don't get it? It seems a strange choice immediately after Pantheon, and it doesn't look as good either.

Cant help but think a replacement for DarKastle would be a better investment.
