The whole thing screams being the minimum they think they can get away with doing rather than striving for excellence or brining anything new or exciting.
and two infinity pools and some spa pools, which will all probably be full of splashing kids as to ruin any point of them being nice infinity pools.2 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a kids water play area? Wow!
The one thing this may be relying on is the ability to potentially expand in the future....to answer my own point about sufficiency, I imagine they are using their own hotel capacity as the deciding factor in what sort of capacity the water park requires. Rather than treating as a potential destination in its own right they'll be using it as an add on to increase multi night stays. That might make sense in the middle of nowhere (Alton), but makes none on the outskirts of London. A truly startling waste of potential.
ChessingtonBuzz are quoted as saying that the consultation is mainly for the building itself (and of course the exterior pool and lazy river). There probably is going to be more to the enclosed part than just a wave pool, interactive kid's area and two slides.
They may be starting small to take stock of the type of demand it gets and what type of market visits.
And those slides in the Elephant/Mammoth will be tiny by the looks of it. I'm not even sure they're big enough for taller guests.2 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river and a kids water play area? Wow!
Does anyone know what the other future competitors are?
Good job they're not building a 1.4m attraction next year. They also mentioned that there are unlikely to be any bigger slides as it is aimed at younger guests.
