Chessington World of Adventures Resort

My main concern about Gruffalo is the budget. I can't see it being more than £10m. In fact, it could well be much less. Based on what Heide-Park achieved with their semi-dark boat ride for 2016, I don't have a lot of hope for this.

I expect a load of screens and not that much by way of animatronic/moving feature.

Hope to be proved wrong.
 
I have no complete with a couple of screens as long as it compliments physical theming. Hopefully with it being an IP the quality will be higher.

Hello, thought I'd stick this here. One of the most ambitious and unusual attractions ever produced in British theme parks.

Many will remember The 5th Dimension, though it went through a lot of changes which are explored for the first time here. Also includes lots of new interviews with team that made it and John Wardley. I created this last year but the episode is now updated with lots more archive footage and this is the definitive version. Hope you enjoy it, you may find it interesting even if you didn't get a chance to ride it back in the day.



Will be updating the other episodes in coming weeks. You can also watch a restored on ride video of the familiar version of The 5th Dimension here.

Has anyone got any pictures of Wild Woods (The area formally known as Transylvania *WELP*).
I've found a few pictures from early Feb – of other minor improvements to the park, but I can't seem to find anything on Wild Woods (And from the recent Gruffalo advert, the area has changed substantially.

Dark Forest doesnt work having the incoherence of a launch coaster themed around drag racing dominating it, but wild woods, dominated by a vampire themed coaster sounds even worse. It's hard to imagine how this will ever work and we'll probably see similar "theming" to dark Forest as well, in that it'll be a paint job over the old transylvania buildings. What is it with Merlin and woodland "themed" areas?

New airgates have been added to vampire, on the exit stairs as you get off the train... I wonder why. The annual pass day today was a shambles, Fury and vampire both broke down repeatedly.
 
Been added because they've been trying to stop people running onto the platform (it DID happen a lot) for years...

Certainly better than chains at least...
 
Could speed up loading times IF they've added a set at all stairs rather then just using the ones at the front resulting in overcrowding towards the front half of the train. On the other hand, it could make it worse if they've made it more of a bottleneck than it already was.

Also, in a move that will almost certainly result in a huge amount of general awkwardness, Dragon Falls now has a SRQ apparently.
