I think every song Morrissey has ever written has a scathing remark in it somewhere intended towards these kinds of people.I think "The lazy sunbathers" by Morrissey absolutely perfectly fits the woman Diogo described. Check it out.
Sorry to go off topic, but Morrissey is my hero. And it turns out he has trained me how to sit in my house on my own for long periods of time so he was preparing me for this day.

Practically everything in my local Tesco has been cleared. They hadn't even stacked any new chicken when I last looked. I already have an unopened pasta though but eBay might be a good shout for that at this point

War of the Worlds, its how they are gonna wipe us out
they saw how our virus wiped them out first time around, now is payback time.
We gave them the idea

Not sure about all countries but in Italy supermarkets, doctors and pharmacies are still open. I'd imagine most are the same.Just a thought but these countries in lockdown..... Are things like gp surgeries, dentists etc still open as people will still have other urgent health needs not just coronavirus.....

Just a thought, but do we think there will be less colds, flu, norovirus etc as people are washing their hands more?
And from what I can see, the biggest problem isn't the virus but the "me me me" attitude, hoarders and general idiots making the situation more dangerous by stripping our supermarkets bare like locusts. The "be kind" movement doesn't seem to have lasted long. Now it's every man for himself without a care for the elderly and vulnerable groups. It shows a very dark side of society.

On that note, the major retailers in this country have issued a joint statement today asking people to just buy what they need so everyone has the chance to get what they need to get through any potential self-isolation. I've never seen them do anything like this before, which really shows the seriousness of the situation.

I've just been reading "District Dave's Fourm" (Tube drivers and other staff). They seem to be under the impression that from tomorrow, there will be a "severely reduced service" on all lines.
In other news, am starting to get rather angry over the fact the rest of my household just laughs in my face every time I suggest we take this seriously.

Now up to 35 deaths - i'm finding the death rate very concerning. Given our relatively low number of cases, we have the highest death rate in the world at the moment . Countries with similar case numbers to us :
Country - cases - deaths
Switzerland 2,217 / 14
UK 1,372 / 35
Norway 1,207 / 3
Netherlands 1,135 / 20
Sweden 1,024 / 2
This doesnt bode well does it. And from what I am reading, it not just elderly in these figures. The government refused to release details of 2 deaths yesterday, but rumours are leaking out that it was two people under 50 with no pre existing health conditions. I've not found any news on this though so cant confirm that.
I think the state of the health systems are clearly showing here. Switzerland with a far superior health system with nearly 1,000 more cases yet only 14 deaths. Our recovered rate hasnt changed from 18 either. Granted there are more than this we dont know about, but are we saying we have only discharged 18 people from hospitals alive so far?
The government isnt being very transparent with the figures at all.

they need to physically limit people to buying only 1 item of each thing they need, they should have done this weeks ago. But supermarkets just look at all the extra money they are making and laugh

there could be millions of us infected at home, self isolating, in which case our death rate is quite goodNow up to 35 deaths - i'm finding the death rate very concerning. I hear that they think the mortality rate is actually closer to or below 1% but looks higher due to the fact the number of reported cases of the virus doesn’t reflect the true number of cases of the virus.there could be millions of us infected at home, self isolating, in which case our death rate is quite good

But remember the advice in the UK has changed. If you have a fever, dry cough or difficulty breathing then you simply self isolate. Now up to 35 deaths - i'm finding the death rate very concerning. Given our relatively low number of cases, we have the highest death rate in the world at the moment
You do not call 111 any more unless your symptoms become serious, therefore we have no way to test people or measure the actual count. Only people admitted to hospital are being tested, and they will by definition be the serious and life threatening cases who are the most at risk, thereby skewing the death rate.
