Disneyland Paris: General Discussion

I nearly booked to go as last year I found Hotel Cheyenne, half board with park tickets for 2 nights / 3 days for £285 for 2 people for about now. Didn't book due to all the refurbs, but looks like its only going to get worse! But I wouldn't pay any more than that really.
 
Shame about the new train delay, wouldn't be a surprise if that the time frame for putting them on as well as doing all the other bits (new trains might require some track editing) would extend it to a daft amount, especially with BTM having an extended period of downtime...

Even if they just bring back the viewing windows in the queue/gallery, that'll make things better from the off... Changing the queue and exit could also provide some interesting situation...

It seems strange to me that they're going revert to old launch sequence on Space Mountain. Launching from the bottom of the cannon is clearly a much better experience.

The Newport Bay Club is also covered in scaffolding with most of the construction happening on the East Wing.

Disney announced today on the park's thirteenth birthday that it'll eventually be twice as big. Sounds like a sensible alternative to building a third gate to me. :)
 
Sounds good. I wonder how long 'eventually' will turn out to be.

We saw the bin there in October last year also! It certainly fascinates people!

Chessington had "interactive bins" back in the mid 90's. Technically, they still do.

... They just haven't worked since the late 90's. ;)
 
With all the refurb. and improvements I shall not be happy with the park until they add a splash mountain and an Indy adventure ride spoiled brat I am..
 
Visited Disney for the first time last week, whilst the Studios seemed a great park (likely helped by Ratatouiee), the Magic Kingdom one definitely looks like it's in the middle of a massive rehabilitation.

It was still a loverly park there, but there was a lot of scaffolding in Discovery Land and quite a bit in Fromtierland and Adventure Land.

it's a small world will be closing for a few month refurbishment this summer and Big Thunder I think will be closed for a whole year after Christmas (probably won't renew my pass next year).

I might be in the minority on this but I don't agree with the decision to close. As terrible as the events of Friday were and whilst being respectful to the dead, I think it's also important to be thick skinned in some ways. Surely the best way to get past something like this is for everyone to get up and carry on as if nothing has changed. If the whole country goes into a state of mourning and everything shuts down for a number of days, the attackers have got exactly what they wanted.

If this had been something like an air disaster or a building collapse, there's no way DLP would be closing. So why let a few idiots create this sense of fear, sadness and paranoia. They've already done enough damage, people shouldn't have their holiday plans ruined because of it.

I feel it's another example of how powerful and out of control modern media has become. It just amplifies hysteria and turns everything into a needless melodrama.
