Anyone on here care about Doctor Who anymore?
Just announced that Peter Capaldi will step down 'after series 10', paving the way for a new Doctor. I think it's a shame as Capaldi is a great actor, just given terrible material to play with (Moffat has really written Capaldi's Doctor terribly).
Series 10 also confirmed to start on 15th April.
Chris Chinball is due to take over Steven Moffat as showrunner for series 11 in 2018, so I suspect we will see the new Doctor then, along with a complete revamp/reboot of the show (like 2010), given the decline in the popularity of Doctor Who the past few years.

The shows woes all come down to Moffatt. Capaldi and Coleman had turds to polish script wise. Moffatt seemed to forget that you need a beginning, a middle and an end. Too much information in one script to squeeze into a 45 min programme. Too fast. Plots were not allowed to develop. Some stories could have done with having two episodes. Also has to be said that the series could have cut to 6 episodes a series. Stop mark gatiss and friends writing poor scripts about sleeping!!!! All killer no filler.
No coincidence that the bigger Sherlock got, the worse doctor who became.
I did like capaldi. Thought he had a difficult task on replacing smith and his stupid clapping hands. He gave it something new. His performance in last episode was utter joy. Very rare that an actor an play someone with Alzheimers. But he did in such heartbreaking performance. Stole the show for me.
In the future, I would like simpler better scripts. Shorter series. Less pandering to the American market. Decent enemies. Moffatt rebooted the daleks. Didn't use them. You can have a dalek war old v new. Davros v new supreme dalek. Renegade vs imperial. But we got the daleks left over in the bbcs bin. And the new 60's ones. Don't get me started on what he's done to cybermen.

read in the news today that Billie Piper saying the next Doctor should be a woman,
Would we want Rose to come back and be the Doctor?
may make it a bit more interesting

All seriousness, wouldn't mind the Doctor as a woman, just, Rose as the Doctor...urgh.

Has anyone ever been to the DW "experience" in Cardiff? Never even been near the city myself. Anyway, aparently it's closing in July, so if anyone wants to go, you'd better crack on...
I went in 2015, Nice place. Fun little interactive show that lasts about 30 minutes or so where you had to collect time crystals or something, so the story could jump around through the doctors timeline, so met Daleks, walked through a weeping angel filled graveyard as well as a going into the TARDIS itself and ending up in 78 Totters Lane, the home of L.M Foremans Junkyard. After that is a standard exhibition with sets and costumes from old who and new who.
It's also only 5 minutes or so from the Ianto Jones Shrine

I went there a few weeks ago. The 30 minute 'experience' is very good, and actually very well themed. I didn't have any expectations going in but was thoroughly impressed with this part. The exhibition is also good, with two floors and lots to see. The final part of the exhibition features all the latest series stuff.
It also features the usual exit shop and overpriced photo opportunity in front of a green screen (optional).
I would highly recommend if you visit Cardiff Bay. The Ianto Jones shrine is also worth a look too if you're in to Torchwood (that area was also the 'back' exit of the Torchwood hub).

Is it still the story I experienced? Or has it changed from 2 years ago?

Guess who the next Doctor is....
Kris Marshall! He was one of the detective's in death in paradise, now we know why he left. He did say he was going to do an investigation! I'm excited. (Well Strong Rumours suggest...)
EDIT(16/7): Wrong, lol. Well this post is abit embrasesing....
