Drayton Manor Park

I wonder if it’s to do with this new rumoured train on Shockwave or finishing off the Adventure cove theming on all attractions. Also with no Apocalypse that means no ride over 1.2m height requirement is open to April.
They have had all closed season to sort. Lame if that's the case.

They closed on Christmas Eve and gave all members of staff 2 weeks off.
So the Maintenance staff have had 6 weeks max to take all the Thomas land rides apart and inspect them and put them back together. Then the non Thomas land rides that were open during the Christmas event will be inspected then as in March everything but Adventure Cove is open with the whole park fully open for the Easter school holidays which start on the 1st April.

Great video indeed, yeah Spring 1994, Shockwave had not gone vertical by spring 1993.

While I do enjoy the mine town theme, I do not think the dull colour scheme aged well.
Just seeing Drayton adding pictures of the Klondike gold mine coaster on there social media and think except the tea cup ride it suited the theme of the area well as the dull colours were also on the shops, stalls, Black Revolver, log flume and the original railway. Even the balloon ride felt it was part of the an American western theme.
Then the area started to be an mis match with Stormforce 10 and Maelstrom opening and becoming part of Fisherman’s wharf area.
Then G force opened and the Black Revolver was painted Blue and shockwave was painted in stages over the closed seasons but never got completed and looks a mess and the station and splash canyon painted a brighter theme. Lucky the looping group have managed to theme all the rides to suit the area again.

Sorry for the double post but Drayton updated their Feb half term page.
Explorers can train to become a professional dino wrangler at the Raptor Training Show, putting their survival skills to the test in an immersive 15-minute 4D live experience.
I wonder how that will work?

If they've got some way of using the seat effects with the Raptor on stage, that could end up being decent.

Hello all my first post here thought I would share some photos my friend took with his drone today at Drayton there is some interesting stuff lying about in the storage areas I would advise to look very carefully at these!

Back of house does look quite run down doesn't it? I would not expect any ground work to begin on the new coaster until some time in the summer. They may do it earlier but summer would be a good bet for a spring opening next year.

It seems like the SkyStalkers™ are out in full force across the parks this closed season, absolutely not complaining mind you, I enjoy the drone footage / photos we have had this year.

Been to the zoo this morning for a walk round.

A digger was working at the back of the James’ Red Balloon area for the Thomas land extension into the car park. The wall near the Station model looks like it’s ready to be removed.

Also there’s a mini crane by the Blue Mountain Locomotives that you can see to the left of Cranky
