Zamperla Kiddie Flume model by the looks of things. So, with Vikings getting a Disk’o and a Nebulaz, if this is a Kiddie Flume model - odds on the 2024 coaster being a Zamperla family thrill launch model?

I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion just because they bought a few flats from Zamperla. I still think it will be something from either Vekoma or Intamin.

Just thought it’d be funny. I mean, I’m still dead set on it being an RMC Raptor - Drayton do seem a bit dinosaur crazy. And I’ve heard it’s definitely happening from a friend of mine’s barber who heard it from someone in the street saying he’d overheard it from someone who once met the Bryan’s at a dinner party where they were discussing something completely different.

Sorry. My sense of humour needs pruning occasionally. Being oddly serious for a sec, I’d love it to be one of the newgen Vekoma’s.

Good first day on park today. Only disappointment being Maelstrom being down most of the day after opening initially. Not many queues at all so got on loads of stuff.

Sheriff Showdown had some new effects and new sounds in places, and progress made on land clearing for new rollercoaster. Everything felt fresh and been a lot of work over winter - new car park signs included.

Lots of influencers and YouTubers around, invited by the park - and Daisy May Cooper with her family.

Makes a lot of sense; they likely want to drum up things with the Thomas Land Birthday celebrations at the moment (the pics there look a lot of fun! Love how they dressed up Thomas and the bunting and giant cake are fun additions).

Also, nice to see the Sub Flume all assembled! The double drop looks like a fun touch and feels like both a fun lighter (and slightly less wet) alternative to the larger flumes most people find + a fun way of simulating a submarine dive. XD
Likely what's left to do now that the main hardware is in is to place new ground/fencing around the area (which appears to be the case given the new walls around it). Curious if DJ Pope Creative is gonna be making a replica of the episode's Submarine as a centrepiece or if there'll be other dockside theming around this.

Does look like the new building might end up being based on the Vicarstown Museum after all! Either that or a similar concept to it.

There was a lot of rides going down today.

At the same time the wave swinger was down

Also Stormforce 10 opened later and kept having problems all day

And Air Race

and Bernie Bus

I also noticed Jolly Buccaneer and Accelerator have some downtime.

Weather is supposed to be improving at the end of the week so I'd expect families to hold off for a few days before visiting.

Didn’t manage to get down today, but did make it to the season launch party last night. Victoria Lynn spoke about the events they were hosting this year; the coronation ‘street party’ event in May sounds really interesting so will definitely try and get there for that.

Did the Party Bingo event too which really exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend going to the one in April if you can make it

The rapids now the water fountains at the end are back and get you soaked
Rory on the new stage and they had a dj also.

Them new car park letters

Cant believe how many times I walked over that block paving and only just noticed this

To end this update with the new coaster area.
The toilet block is not in use.

But it’s still on the new map

I’m surprised they had this new map made without no mention of the kids log flume and name.
Looks like construction fencing will be going up soon.

Trees have started to be removed

The Thomas land toilets at the back of the rocking tug were back open today. Which explains the lights etc seen on over Winter.

The Thomas land toilets at the back of the rocking tug were back open today. Which explains the lights etc seen on over Winter.

No pirate adventure conspiracy after all!

They reopened for the start of the Feb half term event.

On to some minor news from yesterday remember the MD was saying last year about some area by Excalibur could be used for a future expansion well the tea room and the pie shop closed after the summer season and yesterday all the branding been removed.

I tried to take a pic inside the building

The heaters were removed last month also

Not sure if the staff room on the back is still in use this season but we could be seeing this building removed at the end of the season.
Some pop up HB leisure kiosks have arrived in the park

I also like that the park still do improvements on Adventure cove with removing that awful blue boarding and putting in fencing to fit the area better.

Stormforce 10 also had its waterfalls repainted.

Great pics, Andy! Looks like the old fish and chip shop is still on that map too, though? Although with a lot of other buildings being flattened, you’d assume the toilets would’ve gone by now if they were going.

No Pirate Adventure return???
You amaze me!
Just reopened toilets, not quite the same.

The smell of pirates towards the end of its time wasn’t overly dissimilar to the toilet blocks, so not as far adrift as you might suggest.
