Dreamland are giving away pieces of the Scenic
An email was also sent out today saying how tickets can be purchased on this date too
Disappointed I'll still be at uni, a piece of the Scenic would have been quite nice to have!

Ladies and Gentleman, may we present to you the most unique souvenir, a piece of salvaged Scenic Railway!
We have pieces to give away this Friday at Dreamland HQ. No purchase necessary.
BE THE FIRST!

Dreamland said:As one of our special fans you’re the first to hear how and when to book your tickets, as well as how to get a first sneak peak at all the new rides and attractions. Just pop into Dreamland HQ at 50 Marine Terrace, from 08:00 on Friday 27 March to be one of the very first to get your mitts on some tickets.

I love that this project is totally being run by hipsters.
A slide named after a druggy Underworld track? A 'Counter Culture Caterpillar Coaster'?
Can't quite believe they have a coaster soundtracked by John Shuttleworth. Britain is an amazing country sometimes.

I get what you're saying, but is there even such a thing as a heritage kids coaster?
Ultimately there's only so many heritage rides left in the world, so they would never be able to run a successful amusement park with just them. Especially if they want this place to last.
One thing that concerns me though, is the mention of a 'spinning coaster' on the website....

I'm sure I read that all they have of the mouse and water chute are some mechanical components, so presumably rebuilding those will be big projects. They'll be good reasons for people that visit this year to go back in the future, but personally I'm not overly interested in the advertised ride lineup and am currently undecided on whether to make the journey down there.

I have to agree with you Cheese. The Scenic and a big apple is not worth the trip. Add a wooden mouse and water chute, not to mention the whip they supposedly have, and that will change, but until then there is not a lot to attract people.

I wish them the best of luck but I will most definitely wait until further additions are made until making the long journey to Margate.
It would seem daft to visit this place when I haven't even been to Great Yarmouth yet, for example.
Speaking of Great Yarmouth... shameless plug.
