I think that would fit in better than the GB ride in Dubai, Not sure if something like that would fit in the Duel show building or not but it does look very good. There's a Ghostbusters dark ride at Heide Park which is popular.
If you mean an original idea rather than a famous IP then that's what I'm hoping for. As per my post a few days ago, stick IPs in Alton Towers on their signature rides and the park will become "just another theme park full of [copy and pasted] IPs" with no original ideas meaning it will loose it's uniqueness and quirkiness we all know and (usually) love! And in my mind cheapen and commercialise the experience of visiting.Hopefully AT has an original IP up their sleeve.
Thorpe Park says hello!Unless a theme park that has one common IP, i.e Lego or Disney, random IP themed areas and rides just don’t work and make parks look like a random mish-mash of things you see on TV.
There is definitely a reason why Jumanji has been left on the shelf for the best part of 30 years

The only exception to this is arguably CBeebies Land but that’s one big IP with a lot of small rides themed to CBeebies shows.
Charlie - lasted 9 seasons
Ice Age - lasted 4 seasons
Tweenies - lasted 3 seasons
Barney - lasted 3 seasons
Nickelodeon- lasted 2 seasons
How many seasons have Nemesis, Oblivion and Katanga Canyon lasted?
“It’s time to enter the upside down…”A stranger things retheme if done right would be a real money spinner for any park.
Doubt AT would allow a sufficient budget for it to be done right though.
My original comment was referring to the gap before the series was rebooted, which turns out was 22 years... so I was a bit over in my estimation of the hiatus. There have been Jumanji films in 2017 and 2019, I think the Gardaland attraction is likely inspired by these newer films than the old Robin Williams one.

The new attractions are definitely based on the reboot and to be fair the Jumanji reboots are undoubtedly more successful than anything going on with Ghostbusters at the moment.
Either way, it would seem like a misstep for either property to get anywhere near Duel (though admittedly for different reasons).
Dont worry, after having a talk with the rides Host last Friday, and without saying too much, No IP is coming to itMy personal hope is that there don’t do an IP. These for me have limited appeal to the public and once out of fashion the ride will just fall into disrepair. We only have to look at how quickly the Nickelodeon theatre and CATCF lasted before being mothballed.
Alton have a chance here to recreate a really iconic unique attraction with another one but using modern technology. No need for gimmicks or IP. Just give it the makeover it really deserves and keep it the one off a kind that it is in the UK.

He didn't tell me much, so I'm not going to fully believe what he said until it happens, but it's nice to speculate about it. I won't lie, I'm still a bit hesitat to believe it on what else he told me. But it was still intriguing what he told me.I am sure a low level ride host is well versed in the inner workings of Merlin Magic Making.
Basically, take anything a host says with a pinch of salt. They are not exactly the people who are going to be in the know.
