Energylandia (Poland): General Discussion

I think they will end up selling off a lot of the tatty stuff soon. These rides aren't what brings in the crowds and still need to be manned and maintained which costs money.

They should focus on operating 9/10 of the better coasters and get rid of the rest.

Back in England after 2 days at the park. I have to agree with people - the place is a bit chaotic with parts of the park making no sense.

I can confirm that Sweet Valley doesn’t seem to have been finished off. Paint is peeling off of buildings and is a bit of an off colour, some of the facades on the Choco Choco mine train are still just metal. Very strange going through a chocolate chip waterfall on one lift hill, to then go through a metal structure on the other.

Both days there were lots of school children, so queue jumping was rampant. On the topic of queues what is with Zadra’s? It is so unnecessarily long.

We’ve had a lot of fun though. Granted I don’t have much experience with parks outside of the UK, it was nice to see a park with such slick operations. I don’t think we saw one ride down the whole time we were there.
While the park feels a bit strange in places, it sure has character.

I have to mention Zadra. Wow. I got off on my first ride surprised how quickly it takes the elements. It is something I seriously wish we could have here.

I'd certainly imagine so, I can also imagine a few exchange deals with Vekoma where they'd take some of the older coasters with a new coaster coming in.

Particularly if Vekoma can take on secondhand and refurbish.

There’s lots that Energylandia could, and should, sell off. Heide Park used to be the park that had two of everything. Now 15 years later, that’s Energylandia. Two rapids rides, two monorails, two splash battles, two (or possibly three) Vekoma Junior coasters, two Vekoma Boomerangs, two of those fire brigade flat ride things. There’s probably more that I’ve not thought of. The Energylandia boom is sadly well and truly over and they need to start selling their duplicates to raise funds to finish off Sweet Valley and retheme the weird kids area at the park entrance.

Energylandia is a fantastic park, one of my favourites in Europe actually, but it doesn’t need 19 coasters and the ridiculous amount of kids flat rides that it currently has, especially when certain areas of the park really need attention.

Couldn't agree more, You can really see EL going down hill at a rapid pace if invest doesn't happen. I love the park... Well the back end of it, Would an on site hotel do well?

Honestly, I think an on site hotel would do very well at Energylandia however I'm anticipating that it'll be at a premium in cost due to Zator not having many hotels in the area. Most of the accommodation I could find was serviced apartments.

I believe this is similar with Towers in a way due to how remote this is located.

Yep. I’d pinpoint 2022-23 as the time when things suddenly started to change for Energylandia. Prior to that year they were unstoppable, yet in 2023 Sweet Valley was delayed, it then opened incomplete, the indoor water park and hotels were quietly cancelled, the tilt coaster was cancelled, and Sweet Valley’s opening was underwhelming and it already looks like it’s falling apart.

It’s actually quite startling to compare the craziness and optimism of Energylandia in the late teen/early 20s years with how stagnant it is now. It’s like two completely different parks.

To give them their credit though, they are at least continuing to maintain what they’ve got to a very high standard, downtime is non-existent and they haven’t resorted to staggered openings, yet.
