Had the same at Butlins.
Got stuck at the bottom of the second lift hill on Vampire (before they built the evac platform), the train stalled just before it and some burly blokes were called to push it up to the lift hill, that was three quarters of an hour wait, good job I didn't need a pee, then instead of fast track we were given another go around (since the park had closed about half hour before, for it to promptly stall in exactly the same place again, luckily they were still standing there and gave us another push without much of a delay.
Also had the same on Swarm on the brake run, again a burly engineering guy came and swore and kicked the train until it carried on, funny thing was we knew we were going to stall because it was going so slowly, but there was this know-it-all 12 year old on the other seats who swore blind it was all part of the ride, and continued arguing with people for about 15 minutes while we waited for the engineer.
These were before the new safety "protocols".
