Another new ride has been announced today for the 2020 season “Firebowl” which is basically a tea cup ride, similar to the one at Efteling I assume.
Today we share the vision of John Woodward, for the first and second phases of Fantasy Island, Ingoldmells, ultimately quite different to what was eventually built.
Phase 1 (closer to the sea, at the nearside of the photo) was largely built as planned; with the main pyramid, Millennium Coaster and various outdoor rides including Fantasy Flume and Volcanic Eruption.
In phase 1, some elements were planned to be different, notably the large building next to the Log Flume, which was intended to be an aquarium. This site is now largely open and contains some of the park’s larger outdoor rides.
Phase 2 is almost entirely different, with Jubilee Odyssey (now Odyssey) missing entirely. Instead, there were to be three further pyramids, the smallest hosting an Italian restaurant and the two larger ones hosting a substantial indoor waterpark and a hotel complex.
Each was to be built among a sprawling landscaped area containing a number of event spaces, themed elements and a car park, with the entire site connected via a monorail.
The market. What happened that made them cancel phase 2 and build the likes of Odyssey instead?
Wow... I'd love to know what 'type of person' I am. The type that scans junk in on a Bank Holiday Friday, I guess. However it’s never gonna be a world class place due to the market and the type of people Skegness will always attract.
I think I would struggle to name a smoother Vekoma ride. The RnRC rides are pretty smooth, but had pretty bumpy rides on both.Must admit one of the smoother VK rollercoasters i have riden
There are definitely some smooth ones out there, but they’re incredibly boring and don’t have inversions (Temple of the Night Hawk at Phantasialand, VogelI think I would struggle to name a smoother Vekoma ride. The RnRC rides are pretty smooth, but had pretty bumpy rides on both.
So old Bling is having some maintenance problems after running for 16 years. Does everyone think this one is better than the one at Liseberg?Any pictures of Turbulence? Is it basically Amazing Confusion?
Theming wise, no.So old Bling is having some maintenance problems after running for 16 years. Does everyone think this one is better than the one at Liseberg?
Fantastic island could be about to reopen, albeit with restrictions.
