They've really knocked it out of the park with this one! It will open on Sat 28th March, and there will be daytime fireworks, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other activities as the ride's opening coincides with the park's 25th anniversary.

What I meant was that no one really expected the park to get a ride like this.Knocking it out of the park might be pushing it a tad. Blackpool sold it off 8 years ago and it wasn't even in tip top condition when they did.
It's true, they have made a large effort, but it is still extremely tacky and cheap, it's still got a long way to go to catch up with some of the other larger parks.I know fantasy island is often seen as tacky and a bit rubbish, but I feel the Mellors have really made an effort to improve things since they’ve been in charge.
I had loads more fun in 2 hours than I have at most recent Merlin park visits and it was great atmosphere at night, a bit like Southend. It's true, they have made a large effort, but it is still extremely tacky and cheap, it's still got a long way to go to catch up with some of the other larger parks.
Has The Frisbee ever been operated at it's full potential? From past footage I have seen it looked fairly tame to comparisons on the German Kirmes. It’s been announced today that the Frisbee will be leaving the park, however they say they have another announcement soon. So maybe another new ride?
