Went up to the park gates while out walking today and observed for a little while.
The main, coach, and overflow car parks were all packed. However, looking at the park itself you'd think it was deserted. Kumali was running on 10-15min dispatches, Cliffhanger launched twice in around 25 minutes, Velocity had 2-3 launches in around the same time, I think there was maybe 4-5 Hero dispatches in that time too. Twistosaurus, Zooom, Lost River, and Mumbo Jumbo were either not running or dispatching so slowly that I missed it.
I've frequented the place since 1996 and I have never known it be anything like this bad. But it got worse on seeing the on-the-gate cost to get in; £35. That's 5 hours and 24 minutes work at minimum wage, to admit 1 (one) person of 4 (four) years of age or older. Even the online price is £29. Wat.
What can a 4 year old do at the place for £35? You'd get a show or two, a small zoo, a playground, and a handful of 20 year old kiddie flats, followed by some awful food served by people who either can't speak English, or won't speak at all! The fact they get away with charging this is utter madness. I sincerely hope the place goes belly-up before long. Everything looked so promising when they installed Velocity and Kumali, then before you know it there's Zamperla garbage springing up like zits on a tramp's backside. Such a shame.
