And so it's the playoffs for us Owls, for the second season in a row. Annoying but at least I have a chance to go to Wembley, however slim. We're guaranteed to finish third, which is good as we'll be at home for the second leg of the semis. Planning to go to that match, although for some reason South Yorkshire Police requested for it to be moved (was originally scheduled for 12:30pm on Sat 20th May, but has now been moved to Thursday 18th May at 8pm).
Wey find out who we're facing after this weekend, could be Derby, Bolton or Peterborough.

In particular Raheem Sterling. That has to be the worst all round performance by a Premier League player I've ever seen. Had about 10 dribbles into the opposition half and lost the ball on pretty much every occasion apart from 1. And was absolutely shocking on his defensive duties.

Well after a controversial penalty for us and a sending-off for Derby yesterday, the Owls are playing Peterborough in the playoffs. I was there and the atmosphere was great! They did the National Anthem just before kickoff, and although I heard a couple of boos it was otherwise very well observed. Bring on Friday!
Ipswich drew which was a shame as it meant that just three more points for us would have pipped them to second. Never mind, though.

Very excited to have banished the injustice of last season (Bristol Rovers overtaking us on goal difference after Scunthorpe fielded a youth team against them on the last day) by doing it the hard way this campaign. We've had ten or more players out injured for the entire second half of the season so this is a huge achievement for us.
Some tasty fixtures for us in League One next season including Oxford, Derby, Cambrdidge and Charlton. Potentially Sheff Wed and Peterborough as well which would also be great.
Up the Cobblers.

Football is rubbish and should have been ended in either 2016 or 2021. That's all I have to say on the matter.
Might be ending this season for you

I feel your pain, but still three games to turn things around. I am glad Palace are safe, and looking forward to hopefully seeing Palace play a couple of games next season now Sheff Utd have been promoted.Football is rubbish and should have been ended in either 2016 or 2021. Crystal Palace are trailing a new VR Headset device to help vision impaired people enjoy the game more. Initially thought why go to a stadium and then put a VR head set on, but reading more in to the article, it sounds like it could really enhance peoples enjoyment of the game, giving people more ways to enjoy the game, so I hope the trail goes well and it gets rolled out for more people to enjoy.

Scary how we've gone from Blackburn spending ยฃ8.5 million on transfers in 1994-95 to Chelsea spending ยฃ532 million in 2022-23 (money they've completely wasted).

Good to see that Moore is going all out for tonight's first leg.
Got my tickets for Thursday's home leg as well.
C'MON THE OWLS!

I guess that's part of the lottery. If Notts County lose today, they'll have finished 23 points ahead of Chesterfield and still stayed in the conference.
I like the play offs as it stops the leagues being dead rubbers but there should be some definite tweaks for teams finishing X points further ahead, like the Italian league does.

Certainly shows how two promotion places are completely insufficient. Notts County have the second highest points tally in English Football (107) yet they still aren't guaranteed promotion.
For reference, the lowest points tally a team has been promoted on so far this season is Northampton Town on 83 points since League 2 has three automatic promotion spots.
