Formula One

He, Eddie Jordan and David Coulthard are all biased against Michael Schumacher. The constant swipes are cringeworthy. They think they are playing up to the British public, when in reality most people have now moved on and accept or even like Michael these days.

Ben Edwards, Lee McKenzie and Gary Anderson are great for the BBC and I don't mind Coulthard that much - but frankly Sky are much more professional in general. Not everyone wants 100% focus on the British drivers all the time. Amazingly some people are actually fans of who they think are the best, regardless of nationality.

I hope someone like Steve Ryder will come in, but I think they should offer Tiff Needell it.

To suggest they focus 100% on the British drivers is just plain wrong and absurd. Of course no one wants that and no one gets that. On the whole it is well balanced. I also have no idea what you are referring to with Schumacher, I have heard Coulthard defend him on many occasions.

I also can't agree on Sky being any more professional in any way, I find their coverage insulting to my intelligence, forced and abrasive. Just because they keep saying they are the best and most in depth over and over and over in their usual blaze of self publicity does not make it so. It's a shame so many fall for it.

I don't much like Ryder but could probably tolerate him. Tiff Needell though is an inspired suggestion, I don't know why either F1 broadcaster hasn't nabbed him already. Surely he'd drop 5th gear for F1 if someone asked him?

It comes down to opinions so I'm not going to push the argument but I notice continuous swipes. I have even complained to the BBC about it and I know other fans have also.

Maybe Coulthard has't forgiven Schumacher for trying to punch him and accusing him of trying to kill him in 98 then!

More than Humphrey himself it is the combination of him, Jordan and Coulthard together that I will miss, with that team the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. They keep it light and entertaining while still giving over a wealth of information. When any one of them is not present the balance can go a bit wrong.

Its a shame he is leaving, I did like him on the F1. Not sure who I would want to replace him. I think the BBC coverage is good. I cant say I have ever noticed it being that one sided towards or against anyone.

Still cant imagine why you would give up a job covering the F1, that must be an amazing job to do!

I think he's just become or has just discovered he's going to become a father, so the travelling is probably undesirable now.

Frankly, presenting only half of the races live is a joke and I'm sure he considers his family to be more important.

I want a team of people which changes.......it would make it much more interesting.

Desperately hoping that Hamilton gets shot of McLaren very quickly. He's far too good for them these days, they let him down race after race and as it stands he's just wasting away his career there. Same with Button, if they can't supply the car then they shouldn't be a team.

Wow. This race is one of the best so far this season. :D

Interesting, I found it pretty boring. It was interesting for crashes not racing. Please no more of these street circuits. They may look pretty on TV and generate lots of money but speed and overtaking is terrible.

Truely enjoy Singapore such an amazing race weekend but unlucky Lewis and well driven button and Paul di resta. Looking forward to Japan

It may be a spectacular track but like Monaco it's terrible for racing and usually results in borefests for spectators. It may have been different this time but on a consistent basis we need more tracks like Canada and Spa which are proper circuits.

I still think karthekain and kobayashi should be placed on a team together, they would win the championship imo.

What exactly are you basing that on? Each of their teammates outperforms them every week more or less.

Lewis Hamilton deciding to leave McLaren at the end of the season !!!

The way Perez has been announced at McLaren before Hamilton has elsewhere makes me think it might not exactly be Hamiltons decision and McLaren have effectively sacked him.

I like Perez and look forward to seeing what he can do in a top car. Seems like a bizarre choice for Hamilton though, if it is Mercedes he ends up at they are not exactly in form at the moment are they? I think in the long term he is going to regret chasing the $$ and this will screw up his career for the next few years. It would also be pretty damn hilarious if Mercedes didn't go for him after all!

Worry for Sauber though, I think the Mexican Millions were keeping the team afloat, they'll need to find a healthy revenue stream and fast.

I'm not too surprised that Hamilton's moved to Mercedes, in fairness. Perez moving to McLaren is an interesting one - I thought he'd go to Ferrari to replace Massa, who I suspect will be moving elsewhere, and a potential replacement for Massa (should he leave Ferrari) could come in the shape of Paul di Resta, who I'd love to see in a faster car. He's got potential.
