Formula One

I would of thought Lewis would have more cause to knock Alonso off then Vettel, but I don't think any of the drivers in the top teams have that sore of mentality to be honest.

Massa gearbox deliberately changed to give him a penalty, moving Alonso up a place and onto the clean side of the grid.

Poor Massa, I like him as a Driver, and this is the first time he has had the upper hand on Alosno in a long time.

But I guess the move makes sense from a team point of view, hopefully Massa can have a good race, and make his way through the field.

I know Schumacher benefited from team orders considerably during his run with them, but I'm not sure I can recall the effective pre-race sabotage of the car in this manner.

Great to see Lewis Hamilton pick up a victory in America, I can't wait to watch the replay

Well that was a great race, I really do love this new track. So happy that Lewis managed the win, and he fully deserved it, I thought he was outstanding today. You could tell all weekend how much he wanted to win and I think it's that pure determination that got it for him!

:)

Ferrari really are slimy, underhand cheats. I may actually put aside my dislike of Vettel because Alonso certainly doesn't deserve anything from this championship.

Great race. F1 put in a great show for the American fans. Mercedes going backwards again. Ironically that could be Hamilton's final win.

Great race that one. Far more over-taking then I expected from it and no incidents on track. Just bad luck for the two retirees and finally Vettel doesn't just get gifted a victory. Exciting race from Hamilton.

It was a good race, a lot more action packed that I thought it might be.

Some great close racing without smashing into each other. I think this was a great race for America. Wanted something nice and exciting for the first race back over there.

Hamilton had a great race and never gave up on getting past Vettel. I do enjoy F1 when the season is close. It gets far too boring when one driver just runs away with it.

I think Button did well considering they were using him as a guinea pig for Hamilton with the harder compound.

Great win all the same from Ham though. Some quality driving all round, although my dislike for Pastor growing each race.

Disgusted with Ferrari, although it paid off handsomely. Without the start, Alonso could of had a much different race.

Mercedes' form though... worrying times for Hamilton fans.

A great race though, thoroughly enjoyed it & look forward to next year.

Such is my dislike of Vettel, i would rather ferrari do anything they can to stop him winning, i would even allow cheating...

Apart from the obvious 'pet hate' about Vettel (German), I don't see the problem. He's one of the best drivers on the grid & I think he has an actual sense of humour! Did you hear him on the grid walk yesterday? Made me laugh about the 'queing' :)

Most people in this country hate the foreigners and simply support the British drivers come what May. Not saying people here fall into that bracket but the BBC certainly play up to it think that's what their audience want to see/hear.

Well it is in British interests I suppose. I bet the Spanish focus on Alonso more then they will ever cover Vettel for example.

Well, I think that was potentially the best race this season. Packed with incidents, rain making it unpredictable as ever, and Vettel winning his third consecutive world championship after that spin on the first lap. I would've preferred it for Alonso to win the title, but I suppose it's impossible to have everything. And congratulations to the BBC on their excellent coverage once again. If I heard correctly from the end of the show, all of next season's races will be live on the BBC. If that's true, then I'll be very happy! :)
