Funny things you've overheard people say in queuelines

Last Sunday, waiting in the outdoor queue area for Hex. A man and (I presume) his teenage son join the queue. The teenager loudly starts loudly asking “What are we queueing for? Is this a ride? It doesn’t look like a ride. And if it is it’s probably not a very good one”. Dad wasn’t too sure if it was a ride either but seemed happy enough to find out, but less than 2 minutes later they bailed on the queue.

Also not in a queue but walking towards Dark Forest I overheard a group of kids talking about Rita, saying it was the fastest ride in the country and goes 150mph🤣

Last Friday, overheard in Oblivion's station.
A lad confidently stating to his friends: "You know that really fast Rita ride? You know how it's powered? By this ride. They have generators in the drop and it makes kinetic energy that's passed over to Rita".

That was... a new one!

Was in the station for nemesis reborn on Friday at around 10:15am and they announced there was a technical delay and a woman instantly stormed out with her kids saying "We will not be riding a rollercoaster that doesn't work properly!".
To be fair if someone is very anxious to do a ride it having a breakdown is an convenient exit.

To be fair, she was correct. If a ride has a technical delay, they will not be riding it.

Was in a swimming lesson once and a boy who I was friends with who also liked Alton Towers was excited because he was going to scarefest the next year and was very excited because he thought he would be able to go on Oblivion. Bear in mind that this kid was eight and told me he was 1.3m. I didn't have the heart to tell him that unless he had a big growth spurt there would be no chance that he could go on Oblivion.
