Galactica: General Discussion

They should just have this on standby:I wonder why they don't use the VR to their advantage on break downs and pre-load a couple of short films into it. So when it stops on the lift hill at least you'll have something to watch. Though in true Merlin style it will have adverts for the hotel every 60 seconds.

It's currently closed due to a issue with the ride and not the VR, Lift hill related I believe and they are currently waiting for a part, or a part to be fixed.

cant they just speed the video up so the lift motors run at their normal speed .

I don't think that's the case as the lift hill has always been able to slow down for when the train in front hasn't cleared the next block. I don't think they're syncing vr with the lift hill, it'd be very inefficient.Again, it keeps killing them. The lift tries to sync VR apparently and burns the motor

The lift has always changed speed, the VR is nothing to do with the lift hill, as far as I'm aware the VR does change speed on the lift hill if the lift hill slows down.

Then wouldn't the audio be all out of sync?

If anything the VR has helped the lift motor last a bit longer, as now it never slows down because the dispatches are delayed so much.
This issue would have still arised even if the VR had never been put on, except it would have probably happened towards the end of last year instead of this season.
