Holiday World: General Discussion

Looks like testing is beginning! The controllable webcam will now only point at existing rides, and the other cam just shows a picture of the train with the words 'Out to launch. We'll be back soon!' Can't wait to see this in action!

Testing has begun, starting with the usual slower speed launches and deliberate rollbacks. I'd imagine we may see some videos once it gets up to full speed.

:)

Holiday World have just posed these photos on Facebook along with the following caption:

"Look how patient our test dummies are ... is the wait nearly over?"

The station building looks fantastic!

:)

That looks fast; but I doubt it will remain at such speed with it being a wing coaster.

:)

A new video has been released of a reversed POV. Look's well paced throughout.

It does look pretty well paced although scenery appears entirely forgotten.

It doesn't show in the video but this has what looks like the best head chopper on a wing coaster to date.

:)

Its amazing really a family run park like Holiday World have been able to build a $20-$25m coaster. In terms of guest numbers they dont get much more than Drayton Manor do and no way Drayton would even spend half that amount on a new coaster. The park does seem to be run really well and i am sure lots of parks could learn a thing or two from them.

Perhaps... although the park also seems very hillbilly!

Good investment though!

It seems like a brilliantly run family park, you can tell that just from their website. It is far from the best looking website but the content just seems really personal and not at all corporate. Plus any park that offers free soft drinks all day every day gets my vote. Also free parking and sun cream! :D

What an absolutely awful idea. It would be such a shame if someone from Towers read this ludicrous "perk" and implemented it at the park...

All parks which are part of the group offer the same.

I recall free soft drinks at Lake Compounce.

:)

Some great photos of the ride from TPR taken on medai day:

It really does look stunning. Reviews seem pretty good as well so far but we should get a better idea once it has opened to the public. I certainly think it is the best looking B&M Wing Coaster so far (in terms of track and train).

:)
