I think I want to start using your travel agent!
US hotels are always waaaaaaay more than UK equivalents.
I was very specifically talking about Orlando.

I'm sure others with have seen/ posted this elsewhere, but it seems a room in ATH for fireworks would currently set you back more than a park view room at the Grand Helios on opening day...

The price listed for the Orlando hotel is also without taxes and fees. It's important to note, when comparing US and UK prices, that they calculate sales tax at the point of purchase and not in the advertised listing price.Opening day is an event for sure, but you’d be better comparing a like for like event if you want a true representation .
It's a little more complex than that. Each state in the US sets its own rules and rates for sales tax. As a result, most companies opt to state the retail price without taxes, so that the consumer can compare the base price of a product nationally.because they can't be bothered to have prices inclusive of tax.
It’s just part of the Argos DIY shed aesthetic they’re going for.Just looking at recent reviews and photos of the Stargazing Pods and these things are starting to look pretty grotty by the looks of it?
