If it isn’t AI, it’s horrid.

If it is AI, it’s horrid and lazy.

It looks like it has that AI sheen to it that you can instantly recognise. Whilst we’re in this weird in between AI phase where it’s getting used more and more but still isn’t mainstream, it just makes you appreciate original creations even more.

They came out and said it wasn't AI when it got slated on Facebook. I wonder how their next call with the design agency will go down given it's clearly AI.

Seeing this sort of thing with a lot of small businesses/those lacking capital atm.

Branding-wise they’ll go straight to cheap designers who aren’t always transparent about their AI policies, or even just use it themselves.

Obviously LWV isn’t a “small business” but given they’re effectively starting from scratch, they’re probably trying to minimise risk by spending as little as possible on branding, focusing instead on park operations etc.

It is a real shame though, as there was a time you’d get lovely hand-drawn designs vectorised for print/web usage. You could see the effort that went into it all.

I think LWV may be under-estimating the desire for authenticity and personality amongst the public. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if this is an “interim” thing, and eventually they put out something locally-designed and make a thing of it.

Something being “human designed” is actually a selling point these days.

Don’t get me wrong, I so want an ultimate 2.0 RMC. However, let’s not forget the original Ultimate hamstrung the park financially for years, and for someone to buy the park, rebuild the ultimate and then recoup that investment. Well that just sounds like financial suicide to me.

This smacks of 'think as big as you can't for marketing. I'm not saying it was never going to happen, but a conglomerate who pulled out of a bidding war on Rightmove for a failing park that could somehow afford an RMC but couldn't match the 3 million beans that Mellors paid smacks of the local businessman who was always just about to buy the local football club and put it back where it should be.

Mellors be fine.
