I'll actually miss Kanonen but it's the weakest of the big coasters and Helix makes it a bit redundant.
Spin Rock was great but the gyro swing will be a massive improvement, especially with the Taron restraints which are excellent.
The dive coaster looks good, would have liked to see what they could have done with an invert or hyper but happy with a dive machine instead, and that station looks stunning.
Can it be 2018 now?

Kanonen will get a new home easily. Regardless of its size, what park wouldn't want an Intamin launch? It's a decent coaster, but it did become a bit pointless when Helix arrived. That and the fact that like Rita, Kanenon is not the fastest coaster at its park...nor is it the second...or the third for that matter
Then again, Helix won't be the fastest coaster at the park once Valkyria arrives.

I've got mixed views on this.
Loke should be fantastic. I love the idea of the gondola sweeping up over the roof of Balder's station, and lap bars and Intamin's superior build quality when compared to Zamperla should make this a better ride than the previously rumoured Giant Discovery.
Valkyria, if truth be told, is not quite what I was hoping for after we were told in July that B&M inverts and RMCs were under consideration. The two 6-across dive machines I've done (Baron and Krake) don't exactly deliver the spectacular experience they seem to be aiming for, so I really hope it'll put the ride system to better use. The additional length compared to those others should help to make it at the very least good rather than average; I hope it will, anyway!
With regards to the departing rides, both make sense. I hadn't really thought about it, but Spinrock's capacity is a bit inadequate. I have waited quite a while for it before, and although it's good it isn't the event that its replacement could feel like. Kanonen meanwhile has had the rug pulled out from underneath it by Helix. I'll be interested to see where it ends up after about 10 years of clinging to the top of its toilet block and crawling laughably over its top hat. For such an unlikely ride type on that site it turned out respectably well, even if it does suffer a bit from that 'knife fight in a phonebox' issue of it being a big ride system in a tiny space. Like Ted said, it shouldn't be a hard sell.

Kanonen would be great at a park like Drayton, or a park of a similar size. It's quite a nice little ride for what it is. Front row is the best. But the others not so much! I was also more interested in waiting for it to rollback with how slow it goes over the hill.
On to the new rides, it will be nice that the park is getting a themed area and hopefully this means Baulder gets some IMAscore music and a bit more of a theme than is currently there.

I would not say no to Drayton getting rid of G Force and putting Kanonen in its place. Obviously won't happen though even if it ended up at Drayton. Would be a decent addition to almost any UK park really.
There seems to be a thing Liseberg have been doing recently is that there theming their new rides. For example, Helix has got sort of a video game-esque theme, and Mechanica and Aerospin have a theme as well. Lisebergbanana has got a very subtle railway theme (even a little signal that goes up when a train is dispatch which is adorable!), although I think this has always been there. Jukebox, Gasten Ghost Hotel maze, Kallerado all have theming as well.
Hopefully Balder get some theming, considering it's named after something from Norse mythology (Like Valkyria will be), it'll much fit in to the new area perfectly if it does.

Kanonen to Drayton for 2018.. You heard it here first!
something is telling me it will happen..
I doubt it would go to Kolmarden but they do want to expand their little theme park area apparently. If a park here snaps it up it would be a bargain. Oakwood, Lightwater, Drayton and Fantasy Island would make a good home. Compact, marketable and shouldn't be too expensive. The GP at Liseberg seem to love it, and it is actually me #9 coaster.

I've never noticed the signal will have to look out for that. The Theming they have been rolling out lately is really good, it will be great to see how they theme a coaster.

In a change of plan, Liseberg will now be removing Kanonen at the end of their current winter season meaning it will no longer be open for any of the summer 2017 season like they initially said. They have also apparently said on Facebook that they do plan on selling the coaster but do not yet know who they will be selling it to.
