I think Craig answers that as well.
At a guess I'd say that to prevent the current deals from lapsing they have to be seen to be progressing.
Don't let me stop you from posting but I thought you might appreciate the reminder that we've been here before.

I more meant; why would KEH have signed up to the project if they couldn’t have some means of delivering on their promised funds?
I’ll have a look for the article I found; I’m struggling to locate it now, but I definitely remember reading it somewhere.

From a look at their website, London Resort and Ebbsfleet United are not all KEH have invested into; they also own and operate Aqueous Resort in Saudi Arabia, and they also have a stake in numerous investment companies: http://keh-grp.com/index.php/investments/
There were other investment sources I remember being cited too; I seem to remember that they had a loan from a major bank of £2bn. There was something else too; I really need to find this article I read...
I also remember seeing that a company called SinoFortone is investing £100m into the project, and that they had some form of government grant.
I’m no economist; I admit I don’t know an awful lot about business. However, to me, it does look like they have money lined up and ready to use.

To prevent going round in circles, maybe I should avoid posting in this thread until the next major development occurs.

OK; if I try and make another post in this thread again that isn’t news, a mod should delete them or take some other form of action. I’ve crossed the line into unacceptable behaviour again and I should face the consequences. I’m not trying to be difficult, I’m not trying to be confrontational, I’m not trying to be a troll; I try to be the polar opposite, in fact. I’m only trying to express my true opinions in the most honest way I can, and I admit that in this particular thread, if I was to post that I fully agreed with you guys, I would be blatantly lying, and that’s because in my heart, I do have faith in the project to go ahead. When I post, I’m trying desperately to do my research and post actual evidence for my opinions as opposed to just sounding completely ill informed, but clearly that isn’t enough for me to maintain a good standard of behaviour in this thread.
I guess all the updates they give sound so convincing, and it’s all been coming way more quickly lately when compared with the real lull in activity from 2015-2019. Last night’s update in particular, as something that isn’t just a press release, and is arguably the most official document we’ve seen since 2014, really excited me. I guess I’ve always had a knack for glossing over flaws that I can’t really help, and when presented with things that look so promising, it’s even harder for me because through my eyes, I see proper progress being made.
But once again, I crossed the line & behaved appallingly, and for that, I apologise. I guess you guys are far more experienced than me and have far more right to comment on this sort of thing; I guess I am only 16, and am too young to really have a valid opinion on this sort of matter. You guys have had far more experience of this sort of thing, thus you know far more and have far more right to comment than I. As Robb Alvey once said, if I counter your expert opinions to such an extent again, I should have sanctions taken against me.

As much as I’d love to have the money to show you, I myself can’t physically show you the money! But LRCH have provided evidence of various sources that they’re relying on, and that’s where I’m getting my evidence from.No need for (more) apologies Matt, my tongue as always was in cheek.
Just look forward to showing me the money when you eventually find it.
My aim is to please people, so I wish we could all agree on this! However, I also want to be honest about my true opinions, and in this case, I wouldn’t be being honest if I claimed to completely agree with you all. I can see where you’re coming from, but I don’t personally agree.
I want us to agree so badly. But until something major happens, I don’t think we will ever truly agree.

No you haven't.But once again, I crossed the line & behaved appallingly,
I don't think anyone in this thread has said that. But if they have, experience is one thing, but you're never too young to have a valid opinion on something.I guess you guys are far more experienced than me and have far more right to comment on this sort of thing; I guess I am only 16, and am too young to really have a valid opinion on this sort of matter. I have no idea what this means but personally I wouldn't listen to a thing Alvey says!As Robb Alvey once said, if I counter your expert opinions to such an extent again, I should have sanctions taken against me.

Ok no one needs to have sanctions or whatever. This is a discussion forum after all!
It’s fine for people to disagree, it doesn’t mean anyone is misbehaving or behaving appallingly! All I would ask from a moderation point of view is read previous posts and reasonings and reply accordingly. In addition, let’s not just go back round in circles going through what we’ve been through at length when nothing has changed.
For example, discuss the content of the environmental report by all means, but let’s be objective and not forget this is just a (very lengthy) chunk of paper right now. It doesn’t represent any change in the funding situation for the park for example, so it’s pointless going over old ground surrounding that yet as nothing has changed on that front.
A lot has changed with this project over the many years it’s been around, and much of the old information is no longer valid - for example promised funding, IP deals etc may have been pulled - even articles from the project’s own website have gone! I’d simply ask everyone to quote a valid, current respectable source if they’re mentioning such things in their discussion. Thanks

There is a pervading trend in the world to categorise disagreement as disrespect. So long as it’s a debate and not an argument it’s absolutely fine to disagree. What you need to do however is evidence your disagreement and acknowledge the evidence presented by others.

far Far to risky unfortunately. How far are Chessington, Thorpe and legoland from London yet they only draw in possibly up to 5-6million each year. I can’t see anything so far that would encourage more then 5 million people to visit if that. Why would they come to England to a park with no reputation possibly no decent ips when they have some of the best reputable parks across Europe.
To be fair, comparing this project (should it be delivered to the extent they keep maintaining) to the likes of Thorpe and Chessington would be like asking why Knott's Berry Farm only gets 5 million visitors per year compared with Disneyland's near 20 million. I mean, they're only a 15 minute drive from one another. The reality is this park would be on a whole other scale to anything we have in this country, not least from a financial perspective but also from a transport perspective. An essentially direct rail link from Europe to the park would be huge - and one would have to assume that it would have a much larger appeal in terms of IP-driven attractions and international marketing than anything we currently have here now to take advantage of that.
Of course speculating doesn't make it any more likely to actually happen.

Talking about the rail link I think it's the most interesting part of the project. Not because it connects the park to Europe but because it directly links it to Disneyland Paris. In theory a train would only take 2 hours to run between the two. This just about puts them close enough for people to travel between them without needing to waste a day on travel.
What I can't decide is if this would work in their favour or not. On the one hand an international tourist could easily combine a trip to Disney Paris with the London Resort, as you might venture out to Tampa while in Florida. On the other hand if you are traveling by Eurostar and decided to stop at one of the resort's It'd almost certainly be Disney.
Does anyone know of any existing attractions that share the same travel link but arn't close enough to park hop between them? If so how does it effect them?
