Parc Astérix: General Discussion

The park's put out a press release with a couple of new bits of concept art of the Toutatis area (including the supporting Zamperla Nebulaz that's going in) and some stats - the total spend on the project is €36 million:

From looking at Pantheon the swing launch section has 2 separate LSM sections, so maybe that's how they get to 7?

It's always difficult to compare budgets beween parks in different countries, but Efteling have mentioned 25 millions euros for Danse Macabre and Port Aventura have mentioned 25 million euros for Unchartered. Budgets don't always include the same things, but this is the kind of investment that should propel Parc Asterix into elite theme park status. Although their budgets will never be as big as Disney's, they're certainly giving it a good fight.

Planning on going to Parc Asterix late August - we are staying in Paris for a week (already booked a campsite in Maisson Laffitte). I'm torn between staying at a Park hotel for one night/2 day access which seems good value for 4 of us at EU476 or just going one day and getting the fast pass unlimited which is more expensive at EU600+. Do you think you can experience in 2 days (my son has problems queuing) comfortably or is it better to go for one day with the pass?

Get a mid tier fastpass. It's queue bot style. The top level is a waste of money.

Looks fantastic! Don’t know wether it’s the angle of that pov but the feeling of speed looks incredible when it passes through some of the trenches. It’s the battle of the intamin with this and the Parque Warner coaster!
