I read the thread title and thought "Ah, a re-track, it's good to see a wooden coaster being looked after." Then it registered that Gouderix is a steel coaster and my mind was blown.
This seems like an odd move on many levels. Firstly, the reason Vekoma coasters get so rough isn't the track, it's the train design.
Coaster cars need some wiggle room to negotiate corners and twists. Manufacturers such as B&M and Intamin use wheelsets with rubber inserts that allow for this movement and keep the wheels pressed against the rails. Older Vekoma trains get around the problem with the ingenious solution of just leaving a gap between the wheels and the track. This is the reason for the trademark slam into the restraint every time the train turns a corner.
The track on Goudurix had probably taken a bit of a beating and this may improve the ride quality for a while but if they don't change the trains, the problem won't be solved.
Secondly, as others have said, you'd think that they could save some money by just hiring a crane but I can think of possible reasons why they might choose to do it this way.
