Phantasialand: General Discussion

Really looking forward to getting out and riding these two coasters, got some rather unusual images when just searching the word "Raik" on google images. Was looking up what raik ment which is a route or a journey.

Nice to see some "agricultural" modifications to get it to fit :p

Well I doubt Phantasialand will patch that up as a bodge job unlike a UK park or two. I await the complete demolition of both rides and the entire area in preparation to totally restart the project.

Someone over on coasterfreinds.de has put together a photo combining two frames from the video Phantasialand posted. Gives a great overview of Raik:

It could just be the perspective in the photo but the station for Raik looks very short. Certainly shorter than Ben 10's station. Shorter trains maybe?

:)

Beat me too it Rob lol :p

It all looks stunning and I cannot wait for my first Phantasialand trip later this year. :D

Shorter trains. That's worrying. My only dislike of this project was for a park with as many visitors as Phantasialand the capacity of a boomerang was too low and would lead to long queues. During a busy day in the summer queues can get bad.
Will be interesting to see what RAIK's queue times will be.

Hmm low capacity is a concern! The queue for Ben 10 at DMP can be horrendous at the best of times. I remember queuing for it during its opening year and it wasn't fun! Hopefully this won't be too much of a problem.

Taron continues to look stunning ❤️ Can't wait to get out there!

Phantasialand have shared these photographs of River Quest's refurbishment.

Here are the photos to save having to go to their FB page if you're mortally offended by it. *cough*Diogo*cough*

It looks like they're making it blend in better with Klugheim, with the darker greys and rougher looking stone work.

I wonder what the big plain grey wall is going to look like? Basalt, stone, or wood?

That's just showing off. :D

Rough up the stone a bit, slightly darker grey, very fashion conscious!

Not remotely jealous we don't get that in the UK.

Nope. Not at all.

*slams door on topic*

This is the best current POV of Taron, based on photos and information. It is the last that the Youtube user is going to do (he has been doing a few).

If the ride turns out like this POV makes it out, then Taron will certainly be a good ride, sitting somewhere between Cheetah Hunt and Maverick in terms of thrill/intensity. However, I am kind of hoping for it to be crazy and airtime intense... not sure it will be though, some bits are VERY Cheetah Hunt-esque (the s curves!).

The Mack train has been used in the simulation because the Mack trains are more similar to the Intamin trains used for Taron than old Intamin trains.

:)

I still wish that they'd thrown an inversion into it somewhere, just add something a little extra.

Feels like they've been building this for an eternity now, hopefully we might see some testing soon! Once testing has begun I imagine we might get a better idea of an opening date/month.

:)
