And as of now, Chiapas is listed as a 5 minute wait on queue-times.com. It wasn't visible on this site at all over the last few days. Not being in the park, this is as much investigation as I can do, but it seems like Chiapas is back open
Edit: Someone on Twitter just posted "Chiapas is open at Phantasialand!" (and followed it with "Chiapas is the best ride at Phantasialand, what an absolute vibe that was")

Update on the new Wuze Town project
Universal Rocks are making quick work of fully theming the walls of the tower; while the purpose of the crane remains to be seen.

However it's been yesterday claimed on PhantaFriends.de that a container has arrived at the park from the company KinderlandParks. They specialise in themed play areas, structures and experiences. PHL previously used them for the Deep In Africa: Adventure Trail.

Random question but just come back from 3 days at Phantasialand and my partner is a massive pin collector and there was literally no pins in the merch shops 
has there ever been any? and can you order them online? Aside from the mediocre merch selection the park itself was fantastic and probably the best I've visited in Europe. 10 rides on Taron and it's easily in my top 10. F.L.Y was a great overall experience too but seemed to give me a little motion sickness, is that a common experience? Rookburgh was somehow even more impressive in person than what I'd previously seen in vlogs. Back row on Colorado Adventure was absurd, what a crazy mine train that thing is. Chiapas was class. Only disappointment was Black Mamba still being down.

They’ve never had a massive pin collection to my knowledge (not in recent times anyway), but there were some. You used to have to ask for them at the counter and they’d bring out a display case for you to pick them.
Always thoughts it was odd and felt like some sort of shady deal was going down…

Yeah think I bought a pin badge of the logo but it was on display behind the counter.
They must lose so much potential money due to the lack of merchandise options they have for their big rides/areas. When I last went in 2022 they had zero Rookburgh or FLY merch except for chocolate bars. The Taron t shirt they sell is the same one I bought when I first went in 2018. Look at how often Merlin, Six Flags, Cedar Fair, and even Pleasure Beach refresh the merch for rides.
They must lose so much potential money due to the lack of merchandise options they have for their big rides/areas. No one has operations like Europa Park.
PHL are currently working on a new prominent entry portal/signage for Colorado Adventure. This is located on the main pathway beside Tikal and under the stairs up into the Silverado Theatre.
Over at the Wuze Town tower being worked on Universal Rocks are still decorating and painting the inner walls and metal poles are being installed with flanges on top (potential roof?).

I can confirm that Black Mamba has reopened today
Great news. I’m going to be making my first ever visit to the park soon and was worried that I wouldn’t get the chance to ride it. How does it compare to the two B&M inverts we have in the UK?

Nowhere near as good as Nemesis, but probably better than Inferno. It is the theming that really makes it, so make sure you ride on the front row to get the full leg chopping experience!

Bit of an ugly row in the German press about a 4-year-old child supposedly not being belted up properly on the mini-dodgems in Wuze Town, being injured and the parents being very unhappy with the park's handling of the incident:

The first section/tower of the new play structure's safety fencing is getting some decorative cladding - although the red & black looks a bit more Rookburgh-ish than Wuze? Probably will make more sense when all finished in context.
Certainly Universal Rocks are continuing to theme the tower walls behind, and adding rockwork to the base of the structure's supports, both of which are very much in the style of Wuze Town.
Presumably the two large openings on the lower level will connect to structures yet to be built. Imagine with the restrictions of doing all this in the limited space inside the tower they have to finish it bit by bit.

Ahhh Phantasialand, where to begin. I was fortunate enough to visit this wonderful theme park again on Friday and Saturday just gone, staying at Hotel Ling Bao. It is always good to return to the park where only serious fun is allowed.
Let's start with the good. Thematically the park just keeps getting better and better. The new path in Africa is detailed to the extreme; it really is Disney level of theming at the whole of Africa would not look out of place in Animal Kingdom from a thematics point of view. I love things like the telephones that ring, the radio, some of the older authentic food packaging they have included. And to top all of this off, Black Mamba was running phenomenally well, the best I have known it for many a year. Last year Black Mamba was more Bland Mamba, but it just felt so much more forceful this year.
The updated toilets in Mexico are a delight. Those sinks, wow! The new toilets in Berlin are also very nice. Just a shame all of the hand dryers are a bit rubbish.
F&B remains superb, we once again ate at Rutmor's and the tapas restaurant by Chiapas. But there are so many premium looking food options around the park, whether that be at table service restaurants or takeaway outlets.
Now for some of the bad. I can't help but feel that the transformation of the right side of the park (when standing at the end of the main street) has left Wuze Town feeling somewhat tired. The indoor area especially just feels soulless and there is not a lot going on. I wonder whether this is something they may look at in the coming years? WuzeBall was also closed, but that's hardly a surprise.
Service at the hotel bar in Matamba wasn't great; slow, not enough menus and not enough seating capacity. We also had a meal booked at Bantu, which is the top level restaurant at Phantasialand. The food was delicious but the service very under par. Knives and forks/glasses that weren't needed not taken away from the table, only two menus for three of us when we first sat down, 45 minutes between our starters and our mains, not being asked if we wanted dessert/coffee etc. We ended up speaking to the manager responsible for all of the restaurants and bars in Matamba who was lovely and rolled off various excuses, and she did give us a free drink each at the bar. But overall it was disappointing for what is such a lovely restaurant.
Breakfast at Hotel Ling Bao was also complete and utter chaos!
And finally, time for some concerns. Phantasialand was quiet, very quiet. We knew that the Friday was going to be quiet as it had been all week, queues between walk on and 5 minutes. We then expected the Saturday to pick up a little, maybe queues between 20-30 minutes. However once everything had settled down by around lunch times, queues once again varied between walk on and 5 minutes. Meanwhile almost every other theme park in Europe appeared to be either busy or utterly rammed.
The question is, why is Phantasialand so quiet? Is it because of no passes and high ticket prices, is it a lack of a Halloween event, is FLY not being as popular as anticipated? It's very strange. And probably explains why there does not appear to be another new major development on the immediate horizon.

I'd wager the lack of Halloween event is a big decider for all those who like to go to such events.
Unsure if Germany has many smaller events like you see in the UK but given the increase in popularity I'd be surprised if it didn't have an effect. If even Plopsaland are doing one.

I would say in theme parks across Europe and the world now, Halloween is by far their biggest and busiest times, I can’t think of any other theme park that doesn’t have some kind of Halloween event in Europe. Even tiny parks such as Tripsdrill have a Halloween event. Even if it doesn’t involve mazes, all these parks offer something unique. So if you are planning a theme park visit in October you would pick a Halloween event and not Phantasiland.

Halloween has always been a quiet time for PHL. Wintertraum makes them so much money don't think they care all too much. And given how early they start set up they clearly wouldn't have the manpower to make a quick Halloween decorations to Winter decorations switch as EP does.
