Pleasurewood Hills

Throwing a handful of extra trains on would be completely unnecessary for a park on the scale of PWH. Getting a 2nd train would be sufficient 95% of the time

I remember about 10 years and two owners ago the park claimed to be planning on putting a 2nd train on that thing. It's probably a much bigger job now than it was then. From what I've heard it struggles to even move the train from offload to onload at present, I'm not sure I'd trust the reliability of the block system

They've scavenged all the motors and tyres for use with the lift/brake run. It basically throws it out of offload and hopefully makes it to onload. The system would be fine if it wasn't so stripped back.

If you look closely at this pic I took on Halloween, you can see multiple missing drive locations

But of course they could, if they chose to go back to pay per ride...
In Lowestoft? Not a chance. The demand just isn’t there for 5 train ops. Cannonball would run fine on 2-3 trains maximum, pay per ride or otherwise. Let’s not forget that the Scenic railway at nearby Great Yarmouth hasn’t run two trains in years. The demand simply isn’t there.

That presumably won’t be an issue as Gerstlauer will likely do some work on the brakes and drive tyres alongside the new trains they’ll be providing to PWH?

I would assume so if they get Gerst in. If not, it's not a major issue as they'll be standard (ish) motors and tyres.

Then again, I'm expecting it to be a lower budget refurb so might be someone like Garmendale.

We don't even know if it will open for 2026, I think if it does it maybe in time for main season, or it could be SBNO while a proper job could get done, the new travelling rides can offset this closure if it is

I’m happy for it to remain closed if it means it’s getting some TLC. Would be a real shame to lose another classic Schwartz. I still mourn Knightmare.
