If I was getting a residential site within a park, just set me up in the deco flat in the casino building on the Beach...
Please.
I'd rather live in Baghdad than Blackpool.

It's possible, it usually takes 3 months for any transaction to show on Land Registry. From previous posts, I thought some purchases had already been made?
Ooh has anyone checked the Land Registry? It's possible, it usually takes 3 months for any transaction to show on Land Registry.
I'm the wrong end of my 40's and still very much have the appetite for Theme parks and are more than likely be in my 60's before this opens. But personally I can't wait.A lot can change and quickly with these sorts of things.....but right now it's looking more likely than not to go ahead in my opinion. I thought we'd have seen quite a lot of opposition to the proposal from the locals but it's mainly been positive so far.
The only shame is I will be well into my 40's by the time it does open. I just hope I still have the appetite for theme parks as I do now.

My grandad is 71, and is possibly more excited to ride Nemesis next weekend than I am! It’ll be his first ever time on the ride, and only his second ever visit to Alton Towers after he loved his first last year! Age really is just a number with these things!A lot can change and quickly with these sorts of things.....but right now it's looking more likely than not to go ahead in my opinion. The advantage of where they want to build is that it's already had planning permission granted for a business park and houses so the plot was going to be developed regardless. The biggest hurdle remains infrastructure and who pays for the improvements, Bedford council really can't afford to balls this up.My grandad is 71, and is possibly more excited to ride Nemesis next weekend than I am! On the subject of the Universal park, I do agree that it’s all looking quite positive so far, with surprisingly little vocal opposition! However, I do wonder whether a more formal planning process that reveals some more precise details about the project may bring some more vocal opponents out of the woodwork, as it has done with so many past UK proposals.
One could argue, however, that from a local perspective, business parks and housing estates are slightly more benign developments than a theme park resort attracting huge numbers of guests for multiple reasons. The advantage of where they want to build is that it's already had planning permission granted for a business park and houses so the plot was going to be developed regardless. Coming up to 62, not lost my enthusiasm, though the last three full days on park have left me rather poorly.I'm the wrong end of my 40's and still very much have the appetite for Theme parks and are more than likely be in my 60's before this opens. But personally I can't wait.
If this goes ahead, do we really see Universal trying a 365 in the UK like they’re other parks?
I think it may shift the other parks into rethinking their opening times. Especially with the events universal puts on.
They definitely are going to a 365 resort and there's no reason it can't work in this country even with the weather. It rains the same amount as in Paris and that works just fine. Plenty of indoor areas and it'll be fineIf this goes ahead, do we really see Universal trying a 365 in the UK like they’re other parks?

If Universal go ahead with this I’m kind of hoping they build a preview centre somewhere. If they are serious about the project I’d imagine they’ve already got some concepts they’d like to add or even models to showcase.
