The last place I would want to take a passport to is a day in a theme park.

What's the point in needing ID for these mazes anyway? If someone's blatantly too young and entry is refused then fair enough. But if the odd 13/14 year old manages to get in and enjoys it, so what?

If they don't enjoy it and end up being scarred for weeks, then it's their own fault.

Don't see why Nanny Towers have to police it.
 
Just done Passage del Terror at Blackpool with my mates family, 10 year old girl, 12 year old boy.
No questions, no fuss, scarers focused on the two drunken wimmin, not the kids.
Kids quite liked it, but the lad quite rightly described it as a bit naff for the money.
They have more fun in the local village scaring the householders with pumpkins on the doorstep.
Sooner bob an apple.
...reminded me that I'm just not into scare attractions.
 
Just a very quick question, can i use a premium perlin annual pass for entry to the towers fireworks display or do i have to pre-book even with a pass?

Technically yes but if it's full with pre-book tickets then you will not be allowed in.
This happened on the Saturday fireworks last year

Do you recommend booking pre-book tickets anyway or just turning up as early as possible? We have already booked the hotel.
 
Quick question on how busy you all predict Scarefest to be as I've never been before.

We we're hoping to go this Saturday 6th in the hope that it would be one of the quieter ones. However, looks like that might not happen now which means our only other option is Sat 20th which is the start of half term. Does anyone have any experience of how busy it could be? Could be a big difference? We were thinking of buying silver fastrack anyway...

Not much way to give you a reliable answer as truthfully it depends, be warned that last year fastrack frequently sold out(sometimes before 10!) so I would recommend buying in advance.

Yeah I know it's like asking people to predict the future. Good shout on buying fastrack in advance though; I'll do that.

queue-times.com has a crowd calendar which predicts how busy the theme park may be a number of weeks in advance. Although, I can’t personally testify as to how accurate the predictions are, is still gives you a general idea of what days are typically more busy than others. :)
 
Just take a household bill or letter with your name on and also your (possibly out of date) passport. You'd have to be a proper douche of a hotel employee to turn you away with that sort of evidence. If they give you any grief just call 999 or write a letter to Varney. It'll be cool.

I don't think I've ever been asked for ID with my photo on. Usually a debit /credit card with your name on is all that's required. As RoyJess mentioned they take a small amount on the card and then refund it when you check out I believe.

I usually print off my confirmation email slip.

Your photo driving licence will also do if you have one. In all the years that I've been checking in, I've never been asked for ID, they usually just ask me to confirm my name and address.

Apparently this Sunday coming (14th Oct), providing that the Travellers don't do what they did a couple of years ago and turned up on a completely different day (Friday) unannounced
