I think it went for scrap but can't fully remember. The towersstreet history page for submission doesn't seem to know either: https://towersstreet.com/theme-park/ride/submission/#nbspwhat-happenednextwhere it went too

Rides you miss/wish you could have ridden?

loved the black hole, not for the ride really just the novelty of it being in the dark. Oh and the station.
I really think a decent indoor coaster is something the park really needs.
Blackpool got rid of Space Invader, Raptor at Lightwater is gone, X at Thorpe is a bit rubbish.
Alton could open something decent and have something nice and unique to the UK.
Interesting! I wonder what else is lying around in the back…Here are the pictures of Submission which were from around 2015/6, sorry I don’t know the source of the photos. It was left to rot in coaster corner, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is still there to this day.

Alton Towers has surely got literally loads of stuff just lying around. I'd love to be able to have a look at all the back area's and see what they've got back there.Interesting! I wonder what else is lying around in the back…

I worked at AT until 2018 and Submission was still there when I left. It was just to the side of BKCCL (as it was called at that point, suppose it'd be BK David Walliams Land now) - there was quite a lot of old ride bits and bobs on that access road

cheers - I vote we get a lorry a nick it - Drayton Manor would appreciate it - their lineup is somewhat diminished
Not sure about that. They've just removed pandemonium which was basically the same thing.cheers - I vote we get a lorry a nick it - Drayton Manor would appreciate it - their lineup is somewhat diminished

It seems strange though how a perfectly serviceable ride would just be left to rot.
It was a long way from perfectly serviceable. It was made from lego and held together with jam to start with, the gearing and forces involved in the double flip was beyond the capabilites of the quality of the parts used.
It was an interesting feeling, but quite a horid contraption.
I didn’t realise how bad it had actually got - pretty bad by your description! What was it like to ride? Was it thrilling or just a bit dull? Being tossed upside down on flat rides really isn’t for me so I never rode Submission or Ripsaw. I can take inversions on coasters, it’s just something about the intensity of inversions on flats that I find quite nauseatingIt was a long way from perfectly serviceable. It was very uncomfortable to ride as well apparently.I didn’t realise how bad it had actually got - pretty bad by your description! What was it like to ride? Was it thrilling or just a bit dull? It whipped through the inversions on the desent which was fun, but other than that it was mostly an exercise in being pined to your seat in awkward hanging positions by what felt like an unpadded lump of concrete. So not so much fun overall.

And Submission would arguably be a downgrade from Pandemonium. Not sure about that. They've just removed pandemonium which was basically the same thing.
Pandemonium was head and shoulders above Submission from my expereince. It offered actual thrills, where Submission was generally too slow and painful for that.

Since its obviously the Haunted House for me, I'll chose something else for a change. How about Doom and Sons, looked like a well themed little walk through attraction.

Black Hole...second ride I ever went on (RMT my first) and one that left a major impression on me and a love of indoor coasters, Towers needs one for the the pure uniqueness of one. Still regret passing up on a trip to go in 2004 to Towers then though I was fortunate to get a ride on Corky in her final season...also I'd love to ride the original HH as my own memories of it are sadly quite foggy.
Ride I'd wish I'd had ridden would be Thunder Looper, from all the photos and footage I've seen of that beast it certainly was quite something to behold.
Speaking of Black Hole, I'd love to see footage of the queueline for wasn't there a robot that interacted with guests briefly before being removed or am I mistaken?
