Rita: General Discussion

I am at the part today, and it turns out there are 3 displays, one next to the vending machines for the switchbacks, the one next to the tunnel and the last under the control room. The placment I think dose make sense after seeing them

Not a fan of these screens. Makes the experience feel a bit cheap and less immersive

True, but for me it is more of a weigh up between themeing and queue movement, yes it may not be as imersive, but if it speeds up dispatches and thus the queue then I am willing to allow it as long as it makes a good differnce (which a change like this probably will)

It was added before the dark forest I believe, due to debris from the launch being an issue…..
No it got added a year or two after dark forest opened. The cable snapped and for what ever reason towers H&S said it needed what we have now.

And apparently stealth is fine as it is.

It does make the area so depressing and dark and also means you have to walk through the scaffolding tunnel compared to the area being more open back in the day.

Yep. It’s actually cut the area in two and created a lot of dead space.

Rita itself - not a great ride but not a bad one either but what it has done is ruin any chance of a cohesive flow around DF.

I for one wouldn’t be upset if it was removed.

There was a time when you couldn't even stand under the track (in the queue) as a train launched. A staff member would hold the queue just before the current tunnel and would only let a few people through after each launch

I'm not as big an enthusiast as some of you on here. My understanding of how a theme park works, is low. Mostly down to not being interested in that side of it.

The poor lass has always suffered from a few things

1, its never fitted in that area. Ug land or the dark forest. Luckily, they did a good job with theme. Thunder rock rally was incredible and much missed. It always felt shoe horned in. For me, ideally it would have been better next to spinball, or, in it's original idea near the haunted house.

2, It's name

For me, couple of easy fixes should have happened when Thirteen came into the area.

You could have kept TRR. Changed the story, something not right happening at the track. Riders telling tales of there cars being swallowed up by the surrounding forest and Rita being the only way out. It would make the launch make more sense.

Actually paint it and make look as good, as you do with the rusty versions on rita, on the merch.

Well done for getting to 20.

They should've removed the corkscrew and used that space for the station instead of awkwardly wedging it in like they have.

There really isn't much else they can do with the area now until it's removed, which will be soon hopefully.
