Scarefest 2022

I was worried about the new audio experience and whether it was deaf friendly so I messaged them on twitter and this is the reply

I am usually satisfied with answers they gave me on twitter however this felt very odd, they should know whether their attractions are accessible. At least Thorpe have their audio attraction separate from the scare mazes whereas here, if you want to go into the scare mazes, you also have to buy tickets into the coffin of noise.

Thorpe's version is included in their multi-maze ticket as well.

If it is a Darkfield experience (external company), it's possible that Towers need to liaise with them in regards to accessibility.

My suspicion would be that they will not be talking publicly about any of their Scarefest attractions until well after the official mourning period now.

You potentially might get more information if you were to e-mail them.
 
I’m really not expecting much from this new maze. I had a look yesterday and nothing has changed to this site from a few weeks ago. It’s all been cleared and empty. So I imagine they’ll just put some shipping containers up and that will be it. Especially when it’s now less than 3 weeks until Scarefest begins. The likes of freak show construction was well under way by this time last year.

I guess if it’s an external company doing it, which people suggest it is, then it will all be done offsite and just put down.

I hope it will have a maze section attached to it, would make the experience last longer and more exciting. The trailer and synopsis certainly seem to suggest that it could.

I don't think the park said anything either way, just some people specualted that as it wasn't announced yet it wasn't coming.

Also assuming they stored the sets and costumes the cost of doing it this year will be much lower.
 
Haven't been to Scarefest for years. How do the mazes work now? Can you book individual ones still or do you have to pay for all of them as a group?

Recently you've been able to buy the mazes separately by scanning the QR code at the entrance of the maze and getting an instant (or timed if busy) ticket

Very happy this is coming back, if you think scare mazes are stagnant the rest of the family offering hasn't changed for many many years.
Whilst £12 entry is fairly pricey, adults going free with kids is also much appreciated.
 
I’m guessing it wasn’t planned to be returning, due to them not advertising it or anything, but now they have managed to get a sponsor for it then it’s a good enough reason for it to return, as I imagine all the sweets will be given free to towers (or very cheap), plus I don’t think any of this maze has been removed as it’s all inside the dungeon building, and the outdoor queue and everything never got removed after last scarefest.

Do kids have to have a bag each or can they share one? It's not clear on the booking page.

That's interesting, maybe they're toning down the intensity of the mazes a bit for this year? Can't see that being too popular though in my opinion.
 
Never understood why they were 15+ in the first place. It's just a few jump scares and fake gore, I doubt it would phase hardly any teenagers. I'd happily take my kids in them. It's not as if there's drugs and sex scenes in them or anything.
