Scarefest 2024

Slightly off topic, but relatable to the cuts in Scarefest hours. Has the park ever considered building some staff accommodation which it could let out at a subsidised rate? I know staying overnight won’t be suitable for everyone, but holiday parks that require Ents teams to be doing long shifts every day during peak seasons seem to offer it no problem.

They may have staff accommodation already, but if not I find it bewildering. Especially given the remote location.
I have thought about that before, how they could open till 10PM at scarefest by cycling work days.
For example, Team A works on RMT from 10AM-4PM on Monday then goes home while Team B works 4PM-10PM and stays overnight at the resort, the next day (Tuesday) team B works 10AM-4PM then goes home while team A comes in at 3PM and takes 4PM-10PM and stays over, so on and so forth...

It would probably be too much of a logistical nightmare to do that for the entire park but if they only open select rides after 9PM and kept the rest of the park on the standard scarefest timetable I think it could actually work!

Where would you house the staff? Having (semi) permanent staff accommodation is one thing, but what would essentially be a staff hotel is another and doesn't seem particularly viable at all.

Booked spooks and frights tickets for Sunday.

Hopefully the park is ticking on all cylinders.

I was thinking today of possibilities for 2025.

1) Compound to remain in current location
2) New Maze setup added behind TCAAM themed to “Alton Manor Conservatory/Garden”
3) New “Wraith” themed attraction in existing dark forest maze
4) TOTT returns as the only towers located attraction
5) Burial Grounds returns
6) New Family Pirate maze added Welcom Inn courtyard (reusing darkest depths)
7) Amigos relocated to 4D cinema
8 New maze setup added to behind oblivion brake run for new Ministry of Joy maze.

That for me would be a nigh on perfect year. Two new container setups added. 3 reused. And gives them maximum flexibility for the future in all corners of the park.

Indeed they have yet I'm quite sure it's the first SF we have seen with this type of wording... correct me if wrong
Last year's Scarefest TV advert:

Adverts from 2022 and before make mention of height requirements and additional charges, they don't make mention of "selected rides", or "age requirements". Crucially the wording in the previous adverts has been "park open until 9pm". The adverts have also tended to focus on one ride in particular, one which was always open, or on a scaremaze.

Considering the internet backlash that Towers, or any company, now faces if even the smallest thing is misunderstood, I can understand why they've started putting clarification in their television adverts. Legal and compliance may also be extra cautious, after the "Rainy Day Guarantee" debacle.

I think we can stop being Swifties, it's really not different to any other previous year with ride availability.

Some things I thought were worth noting about the new map...

1 - there are pumpkins around Tower Street but also around Katanga Canyon and only those two areas,

2 - the entrance to Amigos has a giant skull at the entrance, assuming this will also be there in person, its probably the old CoS entrance, rethemed,

3 - the map depicts the park at sunset rather than nighttime...just saying....

4 - there is a wooden archway at the entrance to Mutiny Bay,

5 - there is a open gate at the side of Alton Manor leading to a themed pathway round the back that looks suspiciously like a scare zone.

There are pumpkins outside of The Towers themselves, on the lawns.

Considering you'll be spending most of your time in the park at day time, this isn't surprising. The ordinary map shows the park at an almost sunset. The Scarefest map shows the park in a late afternoon to night transition. Having the entire map dark, or in shadow, would make it difficult to use.
4 - there is a wooden archway at the entrance to Mutiny Bay
There's also a sea monster in the lake by Battle Galleons, I doubt that will be there.
5 - there is a open gate at the side of Alton Manor leading to a themed pathway round the back that looks suspiciously like a scare zone.
That's the queue for The Curse at Alton Manor.

The map has always been an artist's impression, and quite often they're encouraged to include their own embellishments. Pouring over it in excruciating detail is unlikely to gleam any further information than has already been announced.
