Once the expanded habitat has been built - in the next two or three years in Orlando I believe. Obviously it should be a priority, but the focus on actual ride investment across the portfolio rather than on the shows themselves is a start.

I thought the Blue World project had been cancelled, or have they revived it in a new form?
 
I don’t think they are expanding the tank anymore either. I thought they had just decided to wait it out for the whales to die.
 
As much as the expanded habitat would be great it was cancelled by corporate. Instead they are incorporating elements of the plans for that habitat into the existing facility (rocks, live fish etc.) The park are no longer breeding this species and so in the next few decades there will come a point where there are no longer any Killer Whales at SeaWorld facilities.
 
Rumours swirling on Inside Universal and elsewhere about a B&M wing coaster coming to SeaWorld Orlando as part of a larger entrance expansion in the next few years. Something to keep an eye on, the park's 50th anniversary is in 2023.
 
In a rather surprising update to the rumour that @MakoMania posted above, SeaWorld have apparently submitted planning permission for a project codenamed Penguin for 2021. It's currently unknown what it will be, but it will take up 3.6 acres of land near the front entrance; for reference, Kraken currently takes up 4 acres, so a coaster is definitely plausible! The wing coaster rumour mentioned above is still very much in force, with some suggesting that it will revamp SWO's entrance plaza in a similar fashion to what GateKeeper did at Cedar Point.

As for my opinion; I think it should be great for the park! The Swarm is a fantastic ride, in my opinion, so I could see a similar wing coaster fitting in really well at SeaWorld Orlando! Interestingly, a wing coaster is one of the few B&M coaster types that Florida lacks at present, so they will now only need a standup coaster and a family coaster to complete the collection if this rumour is true!
 
Blimey. Watch them call it Emperor.

So this would be every park getting a major coaster in 2020, and every park except Tampa getting a major coaster in 2021 with Tampa getting a flat ride. (If the San Antonio rumours are to be believed.)
 
Assuming all of this is true, then wow, this level of investment at the moment is crazy! Great though!
 
SeaWorld doing a good job of reinventing themselves. Emperor would be a very fitting name for a gatekeeperesque signiture coaster over the entrance. Would prefer if they went with an Intamin wing like Skyrush or Flying Aces but a B&M would be fantastic and more likely given their relationship with B&M
 
John Wardley designed a B&M stand up for Alton Towers as an alternative to The Smiler (skip to 16:30).



I actually like stand ups, although some people clearly can’t stand them (sorry not sorry)! I think part of the problem is they typically have lower throughputs than other B&Ms.
 
Brilliant decision (if true).

The Sea World/Busch parks have a fantastic relationship with B&M and let's be honest they are the best in the business. People have said they are slipping from top of the pedestal lately but for me their product is still the best. B&M's tend to be more reliable, smoother and have great through puts. They are built to last.

Hopefully it's a launched wing coaster though. Not been too many of those. That would be something pretty rare. Thunderbird at Dollywood is far enough away for that to be a big draw for crowds.

Makes me even more excited for my trip in a few years now. That's an extra major coaster I wasn't expecting to ride on the trip.
 
B&M remind me of Man Utd

potential for greatness still but aren’t quiet what they were, whereas some of their traditional rivals have now overtaken them.

Re the AT standup - any drawings, designs, info etc? Personally I would love to see one
