I'm having a hard time imagining how this feature would work. I also think having the store right over the special feature sounds cool, but in reality I think it would just make the store really crowded, with members of the public just standing around watching he ride do its thing.

Well without going into the details of the article for those who don want to know it does seem pretty spot on. I think we could all deduce that from the logo, the plans and the excavation.

The first part of the article is rather unique though and could be very interesting!

PS - surely if this is true AT will always be able to hold this record?

If it's true, and I have heard it rumoured lately myself, but if its true... It's hardly innovative. It's another trick-track, another gimmick. It's not really world first technology, just the first time it's used as part of a rollercoaster

Just in case the people who don't want spoilers I will speak vaguely but read at your own risk...

The floor sounds incredibly interesting and would love that even if there is no SW and is just the ride coasting round a bend/inversion.

The SW itself sounds all right and fits with the spiral logo, but I'm not going to hold my breath, I still think it's going to be a dark ride section like Saw. I won't get my hopes up as the simplest solution is often the right answer see the Th13teen theories during construction and I believe the Oblivion Theories during construction.

I don't get it, unless I'm reading this wrong.. you're gonna spin and look up and see the bottom of a shopfloor? Is this right? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I would imagine/hope that it's one-way glass - seeing a shop during the main part of the ride would not be particularly pleasant. Then again, maybe it's a new Merlin marketing technique ;)

The track is going to rotate in the same way you invert when going through a heartline roll and the shop floor will be above this so you can look down on it. That's the way I see it anyway.

Probably not a good idea to leak info like that if it's true.

Anyway, if this is true and they do want to go after the inversion record (which I'm sure someone at Towers once said something about not wanting to pursue records because it's pointless, or something like that anyway) and Eejanaika inverts riders 14 times, that would mean that they're going to go for 15+ inversions on this thing. Sounds a bit mental. :p

Anyway, don't suppose this will require a spoiler topic?

I would guess if they were going for the inversion record, it wouldn't be 15... otherwise that element would get very very boring, take to long, get rather nauseating to those with a weak stomach and ruin throughput

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

That's what I'm thinking. It'd be a little desperate to say the least. :p

Well i can see it being disorientating - which could fit in with the MOJ theme / logo?

But even if they go for 15 plus inversions of which 8 we know of that doesnt mean the trick track has to spin 7 times, there could be another inversion inside i guess?

Gerstlauer - giving you a headache before the main section of the ride begins! Great.

who's to say its not at the end? Giving all the excavation i think anything is possible right now

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt tbh.

You're not the only one, Ben, although it does sound plausible.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

I personally reckon if this is true, and they are going to stick with the described element, they will need two of them. One before the main ride circuit, another after the main ride circuit. At least then it wouldn't be as nauseating.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

Thing is, this seems the most likely hidden element. If it's not this then what could it be?

There could be two side by side for both trains, hence the dueling element and the two spirals in the face logo?

How about one car parked upside down over another car and having the two invert around each other? :p

Edit: Actually, thinking about that, one car would have to initially flip above the other which is one inversion, the two could then rotate three times and then the car heads out through the next eight outside and then back in for another three with another car that's just starting the course. That would be the 15 inversions required to beat Eejanaika. Still sounds a bit daft. :p
