Silver Dollar City: General Discussion

I've just spotted these images of a dormant snow-covered Outlaw Run, published a couple of weeks ago on the Silver Dollar City website:

Last week, it was clear winter had arrived at Outlaw Run. A fresh blanket of snow covered the “World’s Most Daring Wood Coaster” for the first time. We don’t know about you, but for us, spring can’t come fast enough. Get Ready to Ride.

Beautiful! Not long now until this beast is awake! :p

I wonder if they started building it quite a while ago to avoid things like this? :p

They obviously know the 7 P's. Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

The terrain that they've been working with is still quite challenging though, plus they've had to construct it through dense woodland and leave as many trees untouched as possible.

"Who's ready to see Outlaw Run in action?"

This Baby's about to roll, and I for one can not wait to see it thunder around that track... Probably ripping the train to peaces in the process! ;)

Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I will be interested to see how it runs, slightly curious as to how smooth it will turn out to be, but, I do have confidence in RMC :D

I hate those lap bars haha. The middle bar on them looks like it could lead to some extremely bruised shins :/

Aside from that, I'm incredibly excited to see how this thing runs. It's an engineering feat to say the least, looks an absolute beast :)

I just love that they've put t-shirts on the test dummies, that's brilliant! ;D

I love how what is actually a bar to keep your legs in, is effectively being used by the test dummies as a foot rest! :p But yeah, I have to agree, I doubt your legs are going to stay still during this ride, so I also envisage many a battered shin :\

But yeah Rob, that was my thought too, Tshirt Dummies FTW! <3

Haha, that's brilliant! :p Honestly can't wait to see this testing now! It looks like it's going to be stunning! :D

I love how spacious the station is, too many stations are cramped and cluttered (looking at you, Spinball, Grand National, Wodan...)

Looks like it keeps its pacing really well, looks like it could have some kick ass airtime over the hills too. Wish I could ride it so much :(
