Should be going vertical within the next week.
We have track on site!
Could see first track in next few weeks! Supports are flying up
More progress has been made on the Jersey Devil Coaster, with the dive loop being constructed:
I’m surprised no one got here before me but it has been delayed till 2021. I think all construction might have stopped, someone quote me on that?
Most major projects have been delayed till 2021. I think it's just a given now thats why nobody has mentioned.
Fair enough @Benjsh . I'm hoping to go out to America in a few years maybe and I'm sure it'll be open by then! Aren't Six Flags Magic Mountain getting an extended clone of Jersey Devil?
Don't think that's offical but it's certainly a strong rumour. Six flags have an announcement in 2 weeks so we shall we what comes for 2021/2022.
There are other announcements coming too; Six Flags Over Georgia has also indicated some form of 2021 attraction announcement, and there are others rumoured too.
Don't Six Flags usually have a big announcement day, usually national roller coaster day of all the new announcements for next year.
Though I imagine most new for 2021 rides will be those originally slated for 2020.
Anymore construction recently or has it just been stopped but yh it's opening in 2021 and it'll be good from the look of it anyway!
Sorry for the double post but the park's just posted this on their twitter
Great Adventure on Twitter: "The beast is back in action! Work resumed today on Jersey Devil Coaster A piece of track and a spiral maintenance staircase went up today! #jerseydevil #sixflagsgreatadventure https://t.co/tLqF03B9UZ" / Twitter - Great to see construction back underway!
Did someone say POV?
Curious to see how this rides, although it's big, from that video it doesn't look as interesting as the prototype. Seems to be far less manic and 'snappy' - that was the best thing about the first model.
Sure it will be fun though, no doubt about it.
I thought the same, it looks to be lacking that erratic darting around that the smaller models have. One of the first test runs, so no doubt it'll find a better pacing as time goes on, but I'm not sure it'll be rated as well as the likes of WW and Railblazer.
This coaster does a great job of fitting a decent amount in such a small space, but as said, it doesn't look like it'd be top rated as the prototype layouts
Confident it will be a good cred in its own right though.
It'll be a fun addition to the park for sure. Can't believe they'd redone the CGI video to give the passengers face masks.
Interestingly, the ride looks to have sped up quite significantly:
