I always cringe when I see RMC track because I can imagine the wheels hitting those bolts down the edges! I know they never will, but it's still a little off putting!
I think it would have been nicer if the colours gradually changed at the join, instead of the abrupt change there is now!

I've not seen the RMC track before, how do the wheels not hit all those bolts?
The wheels run in between the bolts:

Still weirds me out though!

Well... Twisted Colossus is certainly progressing well, with the 'Hybrid High Five' now in place and looking nice and 'Twisted' in true RMC style. However the thing that's catching my eye now, is the green tracks descent out of the element. It looks, well... Like it's falling over really?
This ride certainly has some of RMC's most funky looking track work to date, what with first the blue tracks pre lift bunny hills and now this. The ride is certainly living up to it's name!
It really is one to watch right now, can't wait to see it running!

Saw that video earlier this morning, could not agree more, looks much faster than the initial tests of Wicked Cyclone and certainly looks set to throw you out of your seat on most of those elements! Fantastic stuff.
It has to be said, this is one amazing project and I think RMC have really done wonders with this one, they've certainly come into their own now! They are starting to look a lot more clean cut than their previous projects and the structure certainly seems to be neater! I think this is helped mainly down to the fact that Colossus is painted white. Let me explain, unlike the old projects where they just strapped on new bits of wood and metal and left it as it was, with Colossus they are going back over it all and painting the entire structure in a fresh coat of paint. This makes the ride look much more finished.
These couple of photos from California Coaster Kings Backstage Tour of the ride yesterday sum this up perfectly.
What you can see, is that Twisted Colossus is a much more final and well polished finished product... I think it is also helped by the two different coloured tracks being so vibrant against all the white adding a wonderful contrast!
Also nice to see is that they have kept a section of Old Colossus track, where it used to pass under the lifthill. As stated in the report, this is now actually acting as additional support for the new heavier tracks! Again, nice to see that they have looked into the full detail and painted that entirely white as well
Once the entire coaster has had it's finished coat of paint I have no doubt it will look absolutely stunning. RMC have well and truly won me over with this one!

According to California Coaster Kings, a net is being put up between the two tracks in the Top Gun stall element (the one in the 1st and 2nd pictures of @Sammy's post above).
I guess it was to be expected, but it slightly dampens the element of interaction somewhat.

In a slight testing update... We have two trains on the track!!
In a video posted over on the Theme Park Review Facebook, you can see Twisted Colossus dueling for the first time, with both the Orange and I believe the Purple train now on the track!
Just makes the ride look even more fantastic than before!
