Strange Rides

I'm not sure, it looks quite unsafe to me. I mean, one of the seats is flying away for God's sake!

Is this the world's most pointless flume ride?

I think I'd genuinely feel ashamed to ride that! :p

I've seen something very similar in a park... Arg, where was is? Got a feeling it was Pleasurewood Hills, maybe? Maybe not, but it was a small park somewhere in the UK.

I like it how the ride is called Runaway Rapids when it's a log flume. Also spot the background as well which which clearly just looks like a greenscreen

^ That reminds me of the Seal flume ride at Paultons Park. Can't remember the name but google it and you'll see the resemblance :)

Is it just me or does the loading "station" resemble a hospital food trolley? :p

Wicksteed Park have two versions of this ride.

The original was opened in 1926 although not quite as impressive looking as the one Al posted:

Love the way the splashdown is actually just some pond, I remember it being full of algae when I rode :p

but their modern versions (not sure if it's still there as they don't appear on the park map) was a bit more exciting:

Wicksteed is just down the road from me. The primary fear on that ride is ingesting some of the pond scum...

The mini version was was still running last year. The water chute has been SBNO for a while now.

I believe that the Nautic Jets (the newer ones) were removed a couple of years ago to make way for something else, which is a shame, as I loved them when I went back in 2006. And the pond scum in the pond/lake for the Nautic Jets didn't exactly look very nice, I have to confess. :p

That's a shame. I swear I went last year but on reflection it could have been the year before... my memories of wicksteed will always be drunk dilapidated mini golf and those terrifing water rides...

Oh, they were a bit terrifying, but they were great. My mum went on them when she was a child, so they were around for a long time. One memory of Wicksteed Park is the carousel stopping for about ten minutes and several staff members trying to help my grandfather get down from one of the horses, which was rather embarrassing. :p

Anyway, this is getting a bit off-topic. :p

I'm a mere amateur modeller/animator and I feel I could produce higher quality models then that dino video...

Plus did anyone notice, they didn't even have a dinosaur skeleton in that green rotating screen... its one of those wooden build kits...
