The Alton Towers Dungeon

And any videos of the boat section would have to have a warning attached, as some of the scenes are surprisingly gruesome. :eek:
 
Amsterdam Dungeon is back open.

I’m unsure on how the one in Amsterdam operates, or how big the individual scene rooms are to accommodate social distancing, but perhaps it’s looking more likely the Towers one will be able to make the attraction line-up once restrictions are lifted? I understand it was due to be closed due to social distancing the week gearing up to the start of the season. Perhaps it’s looking more likely now?

Dungeons tickets are on sale from 4th July (same date theme park tickets are available from).
 
I can only guess they will have to reduce the group sizes quite a bit for it to work. The judge scene is fairly small and compact. Maybe with markings on the floor for where you can stand.

They'll probably block seats off in rooms that have them.
 
Yeah and it doesn't help that the (pitch black) corridors between the scenes are quite narrow. They'll have to send people single file, which will mean rooms are cleared slower.

Originally when the park was supposed to be opening on the first day of the season the indoor attractions were going to be kept closed.

Someone raises an important point about the dark corridors, people often feel their way along them, touching the walls, so they'll have to be cleaned between every group, ot the lights left on.

I’ve seen a lot of parks abroad leave house lights on in dark areas, eg ride stations, show rooms, etc. So I guess they will have to leave the lights on in the corridors, as otherwise you’ll have no clue if you are sticking two metres apart or not.

The rest of the dungeons is easy to work round, just much smaller groups, spread out more, less people on boat ride, etc.
 
Although the park have cancelled the Sep/Oct closed dates, it’s still not possible to purchase Dungeons tickets for those originally closed days.

Not sure if this is an error in the booking system, or a sign of the Dungeons starting to close during off peak periods.
