Getting into that situation is not uncommon. Don't beat yourself up about it, and just concentrate on living a more healthy lifestyle.

Sorry to hear that, @spotweld. It might not help, but I do believe we can lift ourselves out of the absolute worst situations. Anything's possible, in my opinion. I like to think the human body can completely regenerate if we genuinely take a good look at ourselves and address what needs changing. People might say I'm wrong, but I try to be an optimist, and I've also known individuals to bounce back from the most terrible things. Chin up.
