The Toilet Topic

The Smiler toilets and the disable Changing room are now open, we used them this weekend.

Yesterday we also discovered that my Wife wheelchair also fits nicely in the disable toilets in the forbidden valley under the sky ride station, which is handy to know :)
 
Sadly not, however the toilets in the rooms of Splash are well-progressed within their refurbishment program.

Popped into the Talbot Inn in Alton for the first time this weekend. Their toilets are stunning; truly a thing of beauty. Someone from Towers' management needs to pop down there and see how it's done; rather than the bleak hospital toilet look they go for across the park nowadays.

Given that pretty much all of the toilets are accessible from outside and therefore easily get dirty, going for a simple easy to clean material seems sensible and they have added the Towers to the toilet doors. The toilet blocks could (and have in the past) been far worse.

You could say that about any toilet block in a theme park yet others still go and make the effort. Europa have just recently refurbished the toilet block opposite the entrance to their log flume under Seehaus Restauraunt. It's modern, clean and themed.

Free of charge. No news on hot water yet; might be an upsell for 2020.
 
As this topic has been bumped; why are the toilets on Towers Street different to every other set of toilets on park? I notice that they have rather random themed doors (for example, one is themed to 10 Downing Street), and at one point, I could have sworn they even had random quiet conversations playing over speakers in them!

Does anyone know why these toilets different to any of the others on park?

In general, I don't have an issue with Towers' toilets. They're clean and they're functional, so I don't have an issue with them, personally.
 
Because they haven't been refurbed in a while. That's what they should be striving for however. It's a theme park; themed toilets compliment that. Not something that looks akin to a morbid hospital.

Functionality and cleanliness are of course priorities, but given cleanliness isn't always possible or conducted, the theming can at least help divert attention from this.

The toilets in Splash are also themed. The Mutiny Bay ones used to have the pirate voices until that little nugget of fun was sapped during a refurb. It is entirely doable for them to put effort in when it comes to the toilets(of course they'll never done to the extent of Europa's for example), but they really are quite a depressing place to be at Towers.
 
The tower streets toilets come from a time where a fun magical environment was the name of the game at AT

Some of the senior towers managers regularly drink in that pub!
 
Can’t believe it’s been over a whole year since the toilet topic was back at the top
Was saying the other day what a good move moving the queue for the monorail to the other side of the station. So they wouldn’t be a bottle neck in the area from people wanting to join the queue, wanting to go the toilet but trying to get past everyone and guests who had used the toilet then try to jump the queue to rejoin there families and friends.
