Which is the issue with most of Towers toilets, not enough hand dryers! The new ones at Thorpe have one hand dryer per sink. Those automatic flushes in some of the Towers toilets are awful as well, not been a problem so much for me but I am sure @Sazzle will be table to testify. What more modern features are needed? As long as the toilet works, has a seat and a door round it.
My main pet hate with most public toilets now is dryer provision, who thinks they need six sinks but only one dryer? Should always be one dryer for every sink, unless paper towels are provided.
The toilets at Thorpe even smell nice, well, most of the time!

I would argue you want less modern features then!
I agree that automatic flushes aren't the best though, handles are more reliable.
I noticed today that there are new hand dryers and soap dispensers in all the loos I used which was most of them. The AT toilets are functional clean and usable. The lack of hand driers and them being dated is the only issue.
Although only 1 soap dispenser for 6 sinks is a bit daft and doesn’t exactly encourage hygienic behaviour.

Same at my work, 3 sinks and 1 dryer. Do you think since we have these dryers that blow 2000mph air at your hands that the makers sold them as you need less machines due to less time using them? Most rest rooms had equal dryers before they became Dyson ones became a thing

I’ve found toilets not having enough driers an issue for ever. The old World Dryers that vaguely blow warm air took forever so one per set of toilets was just weird. At least the Dyson ones can get them dry in 30 seconds!Same at my work, 3 sinks and 1 dryer. After going to Thorpe park 4 weeks ago and seeing the toilets at Alton Towers you wouldn’t have guessed they were run by the same company.
Where Thorpe’s look like a modern service station, Alton’s look like you stepped back in time.
The hot water was a hit and miss in all the toilets.

They’re grim, we really struggle at AT with my son who has sensory issues. The only one we have found that is quiet and clean is at the burger kitchen which is obviously a long trek. Have never even seen a disabled toilet though I assume at least one exists.
Another thing we loved about Efteling and Plopsa, no hand dryers in any bathrooms so we were able to use any toilet without it ruining his day!

I know what u mean my son won’t go into the Toilets at Drayton Manor cause of noise of the Dyson hand dryers. They’re grim, we really struggle at AT with my son who has sensory issues. I did notice they had put new dryers in the toilets.
Can’t believe how big of an area FV is and how small them toilets were. The queue out the ladies backed up to the stone wall.

I'd like them to be lightly themed to the area they're in.
Forbidden Kazis, with hazard stripes and tentacles.
Gloomy Kermits, dark and haunted with spectres in the mirrors.
Mutiny Bogs, "Tharr shee blows" and "pieces of eight" when you flush.
Toilet Sector, with bunches of faux Smiler CCTV cameras above the urinals and 'Don't Look Down' arrows pointing down towards the toilet bowls in the cubicles.

Every toilet block has them inbetween the mens and womens. X Sector has a changing places and Fountain Square a larger toilet with space to change.Have never even seen a disabled toilet though I assume at least one exists.

There were long queues outside every ladies I passed (on my way to the gents) on Friday. A non-geek friend visiting with us decided that with the queues as long as they were, she would use the loo before every ride. This did not help our ride count.
She also couldn't wrap here head round the concept of each toilet block having two ways in and out. Every time we said we'd meet her on the other side, she'd come out the way she went in and get lost. If we said we'd meet here right here..... she'd exit on the other side and get lost. I wonder how many other people that must happen to every day?
