Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Re: Thorpe Park

That's a load of rubbish. Everyone knows that Nemmy's front row is the best hangover cure in existence. ;)

Re: Thorpe Park

Shame I can't class this as their worst stunt. That crown still belongs to the Jenny Thompson: Ride on Swarm better than on Wayne Rooney from our beloved Daily Star. This is still bad, but if they're appealing to the lowest common denominator, what more can we expect?

At leat we can laugh at Alton's stunts!

Anyone remember Samurai having this as it's main piece of ride operation music?

In the early days it's had the same about of music changes, than I've had hot dinners... lol

Even with a good hose down, carrot -filled globules can still stick in the crevices.

Well someone at Thorpe's bought a thesaurus...

Re: Thorpe Park

The irony is this actually does work. Nothing like a good blast of air and kick of adrenaline to get over a hangover. It works on Air and Nemesis so I'd bet it works on The Swarm.

But really this is silly ::) :p

Re: Thorpe Park

Always found Rita top-notch for blasting away the headache from the meet-up night before (possibly involving R Mel).

Re: Thorpe Park

That article makes me want to vomit... better not read it before I get to Thorpe *rolls eyes*.

I'm not even sure young folk would find this amusing/engaging??

Hangover cure or not, The Swarm is a damn fine piece of steel... it should speak for itself!

Exactly this, they devalue all that is good by attatching it to this crap.

Re: Thorpe Park

What is the point in that?! Thorpe must really need customers....(not) :::)

Re: Thorpe Park

The other forum has a rumor posted about a Swarm based dark ride for 2013 - anyone heard about this?

What's the "other" forum, Towers Times? Thorpe Park Mania? or something else?

On topic, I'm not sure what to think, I hope it isn't like Sub Terra...

They'll probably just cover bits of SWARM in Merlin Containers and call it a dark ride, whilst hyping it beyond belief saying we need gas masks to ride.

Thorpe Park

I remember there being documents such as mood boards and such when swarm was in the design stage that mentioned the idea of a Swarm scare attraction for after the ride opens. It could be this - though I would doubt they'd do that considering Saw Alive spent all season closed.

Re: Thorpe Park

Depends what it is really, they might do a variation of Sub Terra, or perhaps the other rumour of nicking London Dungeon's Vengeance ride might come to fruition...

Or since they're wasting money on those awful Snoozeboxes, we won't get anything... Which is the most likely result...

Re: Thorpe Park

I can imagine a 'Sub-Terra' kind of malarky going on with The Swarm if Thorpe gain Vengeance, which seems on the fence with being possible or not. It would be a 'coincidence' if The Swarm was also having babies and we had to defeat them via Colt revolv- I mean, 21st Century police guns...

Re: Thorpe Park

Vengeance in a theme park with? They'd need about 10 going at once to get a bearable throughput.

Haven't heard anything more about the Dungeon's possible move, though. They're being very (a bit too) quiet about it.
