Mentioned this in another thread, they need to sort out their masks. They are so poorly fitted, they are constantly falling down and they keep pulling them up and it just absolutely destroys any mood they go for. Roots of Evil and Platform 15 are extremely underwhelming too. Unfortunately I don't have much to say about the other "scare zones" other than they are quite cringe inducing with the exception of Creek Freaks.

Social distancing is also a nightmare.

Very glad I decided on visiting Thorpe during Oktoberfest rather than Fright Nights this year.

That was rather a good time. Covid or not, Fright Nights has been pretty dreadful for years.

Why do people seem to rave about FN? It was dire in 2011 and it was dire in 2018. My last two trips. Honestly, the mazes are so cheap and nasty compared to anything at Alton Towers. And the queues are a nightmare by comparison.

The idea of paying £10 for their mazes... my god. You could probably build one for that.

Agreed, that last time I went to Fright Nights it was utterly dire. The only good experience I have had with the event was in 2010 when they did the brilliant and at the time very unique and innovative Experiment 10.

Thorpe Park’s transformation into Six Flags over Chertsey continues.

Doesn’t this fit in with the Amity aesthetic beautifully? o_O

Tbh Amity seems more like two areas rather then one,

I mean theming wise, it just doesn't seem to be quite the same on both sides.

That's a big shame, Thorpe always do well with theming and Amity is one of my favourite themed lands so it's sad to see they've took such little attention to detail on this.

Looks like Thorpe are being reminded why they had a strict no mask policy at Fright Nights. Sad for all on the ground staff, and guests attempting to have a safe day out.

Nothing has changed for months, I ranted about how busy it was back in July!

I went yesterday and unfortunately the spitting was a thing last night as well.

I’d agree there was too many people there yesterday but around 5pm it did seem less busy. The biggest problem is it appears they still aren’t bothered about prebook checks so anyone who’s aware of that loophole can just walk up with a pass.

Rapids, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it go as the amount of times the operator has to do PA’s telling people to sit down is just ridiculous. It’s pathetic people can’t follow the rules.

Edit: seen a few messages that some of the traveller community have turned up...

Fully booked day, combined with no annual pass prebook checks and the usual suspects jumping the fence to get into the park down Monks Walk without a ticket and it’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Happens most years and yet they never do anything about it. Of course this year it makes the situation even worse with Covid.

Yeah the fence issue really should of been sorted...or did they think sticking the injunction notice up would scare people.

other years you’d have police walking the park with security, didn’t see any police last night.

Bonus surprise for people coming out tonight, with reports that tyres have been slashed in the car park.

Honestly, the staff on the ground aren't being paid enough to deal with management greed and apparent incompetence.

The parks seem too scared to act upon this issue on certain days of the year. Maybe a more hardcore message would help. Towers had a non-alcohol day on Friday for the usual reasons but it was a calm affair.

Alton Towers is somewhat easier to deal with on busier days as guests are slowed down by long walks between attractions. The parks that are getting the most Covid related complaints are those that are on compact sites and would probably be unprofitable if social distancing is to be observed strictly.

They really need to sort the monks walk fence out if people are able to climb in and get into the park.
