I already love this place thanks to Troy and (weirdly I know ) those bobsled things that they have. It's definitely a park with massive potential, and after a bit of a lull after Troy was put in it' great to see so much effort again. The building looks pretty substantial too!
Loved doing a two park visit to here and Efteling, and most importantly it can be done on the cheap via car from the UK too. I can certainly see a few random visits being made in the next few seasons .
And there we have it, around exactly 2 weeks since it went vertical, the new coaster is complete!
The last piece of track was installed yesterday evening, so, clearly this thing really is on track for an October opening if not sooner! The whole expansion is just literally flying up!!
D'Wervelwind is the name of the new spinning coaster at Toverland. The first train is already shipped so we are looking forward to the first test runs soon. Have a nice weekend!
Toverland have uploaded a picture of the actual train, rather than a photoshopped one. The ride will have onboard audio and according to MACK rides' FB page there are 3 speakers per rider. You can see two speakers mounted in the headrest, but I'm not sure where the 3rd is:
I'd imagine that EuroMir might get its second generation of trains within the next few years, as part of a wider refurbishment of the ride? That ride must beat up those trains quite a bit, it's definitely the roughest ride at EP. And I presume if they did get new trains, they'd have OBAS.
That, and a new rocket that goes the full hight of the lift hill. And sort the trommel out. And a helmet for the guy in a space suit at the bottom of the lift (how is he alive?). And better lasers. With smoke so you can see the beams...
Seems to keep a very good pace throughout the ride, I imagine it'll be quite exciting start to finish. Am I right in thinking the spinning is all controlled?
