Toverland: General Discussion

Hope they remove that greenhouse sandwiched between the two Alpine style cottages - looks a bit ridiculous!

Great concept.

Problem is that the park doesn't yet warrant more than a day.

Interesting article from Looopings.

Magic Land continues to postpone new projects

This year's motto remains Magic Land 'promise, few do. " The Limburg family park for financial reasons again a lot of ambitious projects postponed. Plans for the construction of a new entrance, a new attraction and a hotel despite several promises again shelved put. The announced conversion of the existing roller coaster BoosterBike is not yet. "These things are certainly on the schedule, but all must also be feasible financially" , says director Caroline Kortooms in an interview. "We will certainly continue, but we do it with a little more achievable pace and with something more viable volumes. " Whether it is put down, something new next year, according to the director depends on the number of visitors in 2014.

Another Looopings report, this one about the park's plans to demolish their bobsleigh ride.

"Bobsleigh is demolished next year '

The bobsleigh in Magic Land is short-lived longer. Employees of the Battered attraction expect the ten-year-old Forest Racer is removed. Foreseeable future of the amusement park Approval authorities have in recent years been major doubts about the technical state of the electronic toboggan. "Because of the weak base is the construction of sagging" says a staff member. "Maintenance costs amount to hundreds of thousands of euros. is a declining business." Thanks to some emergency repairs Forest Racer can still run this year at least, or with half the speed. The waiting thus run regularly to more than a half hour.

More money worries...?

As much as it IS great to see the investment, it does seem somewhat strange that a family owned park with very low guest numbers has managed to invest in a GCI wooden coaster, a pirate ship, a Mack spinning coaster, a rapids ride and several kids rides all in the last 7-8 years...!

There are parks with way more guests than this that invest less...

Noo, not the Bobsleigh! I loved that ride when it was run at full speed! It does seem like they did do much too quickly though, perhaps they were a little too complacent with guest projections?

I really hope that they're deciding to pull back on investment now to be sensible just in case, rather than being in "panic mode" and they've already gone past the point of no return :/

I did wonder when I went last month whether it was running slower than when I went last September. It was a fun little ride to go on. I'm sure it is going to be missed!

Here is a great video showing the making of the park's Magic Valley area soundtrack by IMAscore:

I really is a wonderfully brilliant soundtrack, in fact it is my favourite theme park soundtrack by quite some distance. It fits the area of the park perfectly; it is varied, exciting, relaxing and magical all at the same time.

I don't actually seem to have posted about Toverland since my visit in April of this year. It is a lovely little park which now sits as my favourite smaller theme park that I have visited. Troy is immense, and the new Magic Valley area is executed to perfection. You can really see the sheer amount of care and effort they put into it.

:)

Watching that video reminds me a lot of my favourite place in Europa Park, Zauberwelt der Diamanten

Magic Land still gives detailed explanations of future plans leaked yesterday.Details of a plan for the next ten years suddenly came to lie on the streets.

The paper includes a large roller coaster, a water roller coaster, an observation tower and a hotel named . Yesterday wanted Limburg amusement give no substantive response. "We were shocked and first had all this straight" , says director Caroline Kortooms. "It zoning itself is only made in a few weeks."

Now, there is an explanation. Magic Land will need to develop a day attraction to a multi-day destination, announces to Caroline. For that reason Toverland expanded in the coming years "new themed areas, overnight accommodations and parking ' . 75 acres of land that is available in total, so far, only 16 acres were cultivated. , the next big project, a rural area of 8 hectares around several large ponds, north of the current theme. There are "several spectacular attractions' planned, including the aforementioned mega-coaster and "an attraction where visitors can enjoy the view" .Simultaneously, the current covered main entrance moved to the outskirts. At the edge of the ponds a great theme hotel is to be located, according Caroline is inspired by the hotels of Europa-Park in Germany. "Probably the new area and the hotel ready However, in 2018, our planning is dependent on our funding. " In 2016, construction will begin. within six or seven years like the Limburg pick up a million visitors annually Magic Land. Now that there are about 650,000 per year.

Exciting! Pretty much the only small park in Europe with major expansion plans. Good to hear that the new hotel will be inspired by the excellent hotels at EP as well. :)

Piece Efteling in Magic Land: bobsleigh gets Alps theme

16-10-2014, 21:03 | Comments (34)

The bobsleigh Toverland get exactly the same theme as the bobsled track in the Efteling. This is evident from drawings Magic Land has put tonight. Themselves on the Internet This winter, the still bare Forest Racer converted into a Tyrolean bobsled with an Alpine theme.

Passengers slide from late March by a cozy mountain pine and Austrian houses. The outer part of the track is completely covered. Furthermore, Magic Land grabs the makeover on to give, that has to do with a mysterious machine. Attraction a background story There will also be a new name. fact that the bobsled track is patched, has to do with the deplorable technical condition of the attraction. Because of wear, it is necessary to the whole job is replaced . The Limburg amusement park is still looking for a few wealthy businessmen on the renovation to help pay .

Looks great! And who cares about the Efteling connection - Bob is hardly well-themed.

The full version of the IMAscore on-ride has gone online. It sounds like a rip-off of Matterhorn Blitz, right down to the echoey 'yahoo!' sample.

There is no reasonable reason why they wouldn't just play traditional Austrian music on the ride rather than actually paying for a score.

It does sound like Blitz!

:)
